The Pet Balloon, Experience Vibrational Healing is the first in a series of VibraHarmonics™ journeys designed to guide users to awaken to their vibrational inner self. It is part of a series of movies and other tools I have created to guide and support world healing, one person at a time.
The series is designed to facilitate awakening to the awesome powers of healing and manifestation we all have in us.
The book will go on the market mid March 2009.
The Pet Balloon social group was just started thepetballoon.ning.com as a place where people can come together to discuss the experiences they have with The Pet Balloon, learn more and experience vibrational healing in unique ways. See my new video, "Feel the Love, A VibraHealing™ Journey".
I would like to connect with you there also. I am trying to make more friends and fans so that I can spread awareness for breast cancer during pregnancy. I was diagnosed Stage 3 in the 5th month of my pregnancy in May. My status updates on Facebook and LinkedIn are usually about my fight.

Scribblers’ Retreat is a non-profit organization established with the goal of reaching writers of all ages; to inspire and promote their hidden gifts and talents.
By involving the local community, authors, publishers, editors, journalists and all forms of the literary world, we are opening their minds and bringing hope where there was doubt.
Scribblers’ Retreat is not the typical classroom setting. It was designed to bring world-class authors, literature professors, editors, journalists, illustrators, photo journalists, proofreaders, publishers, publicists, screenplay writers, and website/graphic designers, etc. one-on-one with young and old alike. It is the opportunity of a lifetime for someone who has had a manuscript in a desk drawer for 40 years or who has an outstanding poem that simply must be read.

Yes, Maury, what they say is true. You will need to market your book before it comes out so there is time to get it into bookstores by the time it is available. If you can get a mockup of the cover - even an electronic one - and take it around with you to the stores you want to be in, that helps. In the book industry, a book that is 2-3 months old is on its way out. A 6-month old book is yesterday's news.
I have seen this issue come up before. Most bookstores - even independents - want what's new and fresh, which means a lot of the time they won't take books that have been out more than a couple of months. Now is the time to do your marketing to bookstores, by taking a flyer with a mockup of the cover art (if you don't already have an actual graphics file of the art) and a well written description of the book and a bio of your expertise/experience. A professional color picture of you should be included if you can. Provide all the basic info on the book such as price, type of cover, ISBN#, binding type, your hometown, and the number of pages. Library of Congress info would also be a bonus if you have that. Also let the bookstores know that you are available for short (20-30 min) presentations related to the book, so you're not just looking for book signing events. This tells them you want to help them bring customers in for an extended time period and give them information, not just sell your book.
Some bookstores, depending on the subject matter of the book, will take books that are "older" - up to 2 years past pub date. But this usually works only with children's books, fiction, and cookbooks. Nonfiction and books that have a time-sensitive subject won't sell after about 6 months past the pub date.

Hi,
Thank you for your comment. I've been out of the country for a month and just returned. It is finally safe to go back to Nepal now that the Maoist situation seems to be resolving itself.
Maury,
Thank you for your kind words, this has been the hardest thing that I have ever been through in my life. I honestly hope that no one else ever has to go through such a horrible ordeal.

How are you? Thanks for accepting my friend request.
I'm just letting some of my friends know I started a website for authors; it is a resource directory. You may find it useful.
