- Book publicist by choice, writer by default. I book our publishing house's authors for media events and generate publicity. My own writing career includes a couple decades as a newspaper reporter and freelance writer (fitness, ag, misc.). My book is Something Familiar, a collection of my short stories and story poetry about people in the Midwest and Pacific Northwest.
