O'Reilly Conference Plots Pathways through the Digital Frontier for Publishers and Authors

I was pleased to cover the scintillating O'Reilly Tools of Change for Publishing
conference that was held last week in San Jose for eContent magazine.
It was a worthy conference filled with leading edge thinking (at least
mostly.)

My executive summary-style coverage is here: http://www.econtentmag.com/Articles/ArticleReaderContinue

Well, you could try Saga. It's a subscription only magazine and has got @ 1 million readership. They pay well too. When I wrote my golf column for them, they gave me a freebie: one month's luxury cruise round the Caribbean + 1 on one Saga's ships (I think they've sold/are selling their ships now). All I had to do was to give lectures in return. I have no idea if they want another golf column though. But Good luck!

Nice! I play twice a week too. And I'm casually looking for a publication for which I could write a column. Any ideas? In any case, I very much appreciate your encouragement, Frances Lynn!

I shall buy this golf book. Every golfer will relate to it! I play golf twice a week now. I started when I was twelve, but then had a big gap when I switched to tennis. Big mistake. I took it up again four years ago, and golf is not like riding a bicycle. I wrote a golf column for beginners in Saga magazine, but when I joined my present golf club, I decided I couldn't write a column about the club. The ladies might throw me out!

Excellent, Frances Lynn. You might want to check out my golf blog TheJoyofGolfing.com. I love to hear your comments on it. Very much a work in progress. I've got the book proposal done and a sample chapter, but stopped shopping for agents because my main business has been heating up and I want to get my internet marketing e-book out. Thanks for your chatter. ;)

I play golf. Your book sounds as if it could come in handy.
