When the Wind Blows

Not all secrets should be kept.
When the Wind Blows is the story of three women. A past abortion compromises Jenna Andrews' ability to have children and the secret threatens to destroy her marriage. Robyn Elliott will stop at nothing to destroy Jenna's marriage. Dr. Eve Borrelli is pregnant, and her fiance's reelection campaign won't tolerate another scandal. As their lives are interwoven, secrets are revealed and nothing will ever be the same.

When the Wind Blows won 2nd place in the 2007 ACFW Genesis contest.

Her dream job has a catch 22 - and time is running out.
When the Bough Breaks follows a young lobbyist's search for her birth parents. As a lobbyist, Sienna O'Shea is the ultimate insider, hobnobbing with assemblymen and senators, but as an adoptee, she feels like she's on the outside of life looking in. Now she's hopeful her dream job of legislative affairs director will fulfill her need to belong and give her easier access to her birth records. For years she's searched for her birth parents. But when she's handed her first assignment—to lobby support for all adoption records to be permanently sealed—her worlds collide.

When the Bough Breaks was a 2006 ACFW Genesis finalist.

Scribblers’ Retreat is a non-profit organization established with the goal of reaching writers of all ages; to inspire and promote their hidden gifts and talents.
By involving the local community, authors, publishers, editors, journalists and all forms of the literary world, we are opening their minds and bringing hope where there was doubt.
Scribblers’ Retreat is not the typical classroom setting. It was designed to bring world-class authors, literature professors, editors, journalists, illustrators, photo journalists, proofreaders, publishers, publicists, screenplay writers, and website/graphic designers, etc. one-on-one with young and old alike. It is the opportunity of a lifetime for someone who has had a manuscript in a desk drawer for 40 years or who has an outstanding poem that simply must be read.

I'm thrilled to repot that When the Wind Blows took second place in its category in the ACFW Genesis contest!

Also, I have a new humor column which is in this month's Afictionado e-zine. Go to http://www.acfw.com/ezine/ and scroll down to Let There Be Light. You can read it there. I also have a book review on Be Sweet in teh same issue. Diann Hunt is my mentor and her book, Hot Tropics and Cold Feet won the Book of the Year award for its category. WooHoo!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi, Ane. Thank you for the prayers and concern regarding the spider bites....I'm sorry I haven't replied sooner--I haven't been on for a couple of weeks. I spend a lot of time at SL...well, comparatively speaking :)

I've healed up 100%--the Lord is so good to me! I've never been particularly arachnophobic before (yellow jackets/hornets are my big fear), but now I'm definitely on the watch-out for spiders! Yuck!!

Hope all's going well on your end!

Julie
