About Me and My Book:
I'm a retired dental hygienist. I've been a writer for eleven years. I've published three books. my current book is titled "Hope and Desire." It's the story of Jennifer Greene, a young girl, who dreams of going to New York to become a fashion designer. Her father dies suddenly, her mother marries his best friend, and Jennifer is forced to put dreams aside to take care of her younger siblings, juggle a nine-to-three job and is expected to perform household duties. She gets a second job to earn money in hopes of pursuing her dreams, but her sister, steals th emoney and runs off to New York. Jennifer gets another chance and goes to New York, only to e lured into becoming a housekeeper for Joe Morgan, a horse rancher, who tricks hr into marriage. She finds herself married to a stubborn, old man twice her age, who refuses to let her go. She escapes, falls in love and finds herself a suspect for murder.
If your idea of a good entertaining novel is murder, intrigue, betrayal, romance and hope, then this is a great book for you. You will not be disappointed.

Are you on Facebook and LinkedIn?

I would like to connect with you there also. I am trying to make more friends and fans so that I can spread awareness for breast cancer during pregnancy. I was diagnosed Stage 3 in the 5th month of my pregnancy in May. My status updates on Facebook and LinkedIn are usually about my fight.

Scribblers’ Retreat is a non-profit organization established with the goal of reaching writers of all ages; to inspire and promote their hidden gifts and talents.
By involving the local community, authors, publishers, editors, journalists and all forms of the literary world, we are opening their minds and bringing hope where there was doubt.
Scribblers’ Retreat is not the typical classroom setting. It was designed to bring world-class authors, literature professors, editors, journalists, illustrators, photo journalists, proofreaders, publishers, publicists, screenplay writers, and website/graphic designers, etc. one-on-one with young and old alike. It is the opportunity of a lifetime for someone who has had a manuscript in a desk drawer for 40 years or who has an outstanding poem that simply must be read.

Hi Theresa:

Thank you so much for the friend connection and for leaving such a WONDERFUL comment for me too -- I appreciate you! Ahhh yes -- grits -- is a staple food that sticks to your ribs, long after other items on your plate are gone. As a literary GRITS - girl reading in the south - good books tend to have that same effect on me - they stay on my mind long after the book is closed on back on my shelf!

Again thank you for the connection and happy holidays to you!
