About Me and My Book:
I usually introduce myself by letting you know that my mother was Scarlett O'Hara and my father was John Wayne. I come from a family of eccentrics and visionaries, and my book BEAUFORT FALLS reflects my background and childhood in the Old South (Southern United States).

BEAUFORT FALLS (Alabama) is a mythical small town where nothing is what it seems. Lawmen there can't seem to solve murders, hitmen can't seem to kill anyone, and a determined little ghost and her lonely, abused child are tied together in the way everyone is linked in a small town, the ties that bind and strangle. Everyone gets what he or she wants, or deserves, in the end.

It's almost as if 2009 blasted in, with C H A N G E as its slogan, and nothing IS as it WAS. My schedule changed, eliminating the wonderful Westlake Library book group mid first Wednesday of each month. The same change meant that I… Continue

Scribblers’ Retreat is a non-profit organization established with the goal of reaching writers of all ages; to inspire and promote their hidden gifts and talents.
By involving the local community, authors, publishers, editors, journalists and all forms of the literary world, we are opening their minds and bringing hope where there was doubt.
Scribblers’ Retreat is not the typical classroom setting. It was designed to bring world-class authors, literature professors, editors, journalists, illustrators, photo journalists, proofreaders, publishers, publicists, screenplay writers, and website/graphic designers, etc. one-on-one with young and old alike. It is the opportunity of a lifetime for someone who has had a manuscript in a desk drawer for 40 years or who has an outstanding poem that simply must be read.
