About Me and My Book:
As the sole female in a houseful of five guys (one husband and four sons), writing a book about life on the 'ole testosterone farm was a no-brainer. Speaking of "no brains," I'm up to my ears in examples, which is why I penned a light-hearted look at the wonderful world of guys titled "Guys and Other Near Humans." So welcome to some wild and wacky adventures from the "farm," where old age and treachery trump youth and inexperience every time. Available from Uncial Press. See below.

Check out http://www.lsspublishing.com/ for some of my other titles, including: Dream Delayed, What You Need to Know About Kids, Perhaps & Unless, Doxology in the Dark, and McFriends.

McFriends

Are forgiveness and reconciliation synonymous? A probing novella set in the gentle Hill Country of south-central Texas, McFriends explores this question as it traces a fading friendship between principals Sylvia Winthrop and Claire Sinclair. The prevalence of today's "drive-thru" relationships and "fast food friends" is also examined, showing why both leave us hungry and unsated. Recently released from Long Story Short Publishing.

- Needs more characters
- Moves too quickly from one scene to the next
- Moves too slowly from one scene to the next
- Not enough background on main characters

Stille Nacht

Hassled, harried, stressed-out? This time of year gets a little nutty, huh? Take just over two minutes to enjoy Manheim Steamroller's exquisite rendition of Silent Night.

Best wishes for a bright and blessed season of celebration.

Merry Christmas.

In Hibernation

Set in present-day California and Washington State, Heavincense tells the story of love lost and found between primary characters Pearl and Kevan Marsten and their enigmatic Christian neighbor, Pete, who's suffered his own personal tragedies. Pete helps the estranged couple as well as thei… Continue

“Hand over the chocolate and no one gets hurt!”

Whenver I'm sitting down - which isn't very often - I feel compelled to be reading something. Anything. Even the back of a cereal box. I've loved books since mom and dad read aloud to me as a little sprout. If I'm not reading, I'm usually writing. My newest title, Guys and Other Near Humans was released last spring by Uncial Press.

I've authored ten books to date, including… Continue

By involving the local community, authors, publishers, editors, journalists and all forms of the literary world, we are opening their minds and bringing hope where there was doubt.
Scribblers’ Retreat is not the typical classroom setting. It was designed to bring world-class authors, literature professors, editors, journalists, illustrators, photo journalists, proofreaders, publishers, publicists, screenplay writers, and website/graphic designers, etc. one-on-one with young and old alike. It is the opportunity of a lifetime for someone who has had a manuscript in a desk drawer for 40 years or who has an outstanding poem that simply must be read.

HAPPY HOLIDAYS! The blessings we ask for this season
Aren't the kind that come wrapped with a bow;
We're asking for gifts from the heart,
Ones we need and never outgrow.
May we see in these bright decorations
With their colors and lights all aglow,
The beauty and wonder of life
That God's world was created to show.
Let the peace and goodwill of this season
Be feelings that we can extend
Far into the following year
To our neighbors, our family, and friends.
Most of all, may we always remember
To open our hearts every day and share all the love and the joy
In a special and meaningful way.
