- K. L. was born in South Jamaica, Queens, but currently resides in Brooklyn, New York. At 40 years of age I am a father of four, teacher for the New York City Department of Education for over ten years, and was recently married. My supportive wife is strength, best friend, and editor of most of my work. I obtained my A.S. in Business from Kingsborough Community College, B.S. in Education from York College, and holds a Master’s Degree from Walden University. I anticipate beginning my Ph.D. studies in 2008.
A writer of poetry and fictional stories I am currently working on my first book titled “A Man in Transition”. Over the years I changed my writing focus from erotic based content to romance and spiritual inspirations due to religious choices, so I hope to offer the world-focused insight of a man who has completely changed his life. I believe my writing expresses my growth as a man who, now, attempts to offer counsel, entertainment and guidance to all I meet.
I have performed spoken word at New York’s “Bowery Poetry Club” as part of the Urban Erotika showcase, and was featured in the September issue of the online magazine Belle-Noir.com. I will be performing at the first annual Phat Poetry hosted by Belle-noir.com in February 2008.
Traveling around the world, spending quality time with my children, coaching basketball, bowling, and cooking are a few of my other passions. I love to meet new people and use my internet blogs to write stories on his observations of the world.
My book "A Man in Transition" is a poetry book that allows you to see how a man thinks when he has turned his life around to a higher source from that of the common misogynist.

K. L. here. I want to wish everyone a blessed up coming winter season. This is a down time for me. However I am working on big things for next year from Confrences, Book Fair and Seminars @ colleges and even one on a cruise set for later July early August. With all I am working on I am setting up for the release of my next book. It will be a book of non fiction. It is the opportunity of a lifetime for someone who has had a manuscript in a desk drawer for 40 years or who has an outstanding poem that simply must be read.
