- About Me and My Book:
- Graham Burchell was born in 1950 in Canterbury, England. He is the winner of the 2005 Chapter One Promotions Open Poetry Competition and the 2006 Hazel Street Productions Poetry Contest. He was also nominated for a 2006 Pushcart Prize. His poetry has appeared in many print and online literary magazines. Author of two poetry books, ‘Vermeer’s Corner’ (Foothills Publishing) and ‘Ladies of Divided Twins’ (Erbacce Press), he has also written two children’s novels, ‘Chester and the Green Pig’ and Chester and the Spell Breaker’ (Calderwood Books). He is the editor of the online poetry journal, Words-Myth, voted favourite internet-based magazine for 2007 by readers and visitors to “Poetry Kit”.
Chester and the Green Pig was published by Calderwood Books as a
children's e-book in September 2007 and as a paperback in February 2008. The sequel Chester and the Spell Breaker will be released soon.

Scribblers’ Retreat is not the typical classroom setting. It was designed to bring world-class authors, literature professors, editors, journalists, illustrators, photo journalists, proofreaders, publishers, publicists, screenplay writers, and website/graphic designers, etc. one-on-one with young and old alike. It is the opportunity of a lifetime for someone who has had a manuscript in a desk drawer for 40 years or who has an outstanding poem that simply must be read.
