JEN KNOX REVIEWS CROSSROADS--FIVE STARS

5.0 out of 5 stars Fast-Paced, Tight Prose, December 22, 2009
By J. L. Knox "JLK" (San Antonio, TX USA) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)

OK. This is not the genre of choice for me, but I've come to know Steven Nedelton and I had to admit, his book (CROSSROADS) sounded interesting, so why limit myself, I thought. So here's my take: This is a plot-driven, fast-paced, spy thriller that seems to incorporate a lot of research and keen literary skill. I'm very glad I picked up this book, and thanks t… Continue

MBR gives five stars to CROSSROADS...

MIDWEST BOOK REVIEW 5.0 out of 5 stars

A fascinating and entertaining story of cold war espionage, highly recommended, December 11, 2009
By Midwest Book Review (Oregon, WI USA) -

Double crossing, triple crossing, quadruple crossings are not things that were unheard of in the espionage time of the Cold War. "Crossroads" is a story of cold war espionage as Tallman distrusts the newest defector to the agency, former soviet spy Mikhail. When new technology is on the line, it becomes harder and har… Continue

Crossroads is available,The Raven Affair to be released soon

Reviews for Crossroads (web site: http://www.snedelton.com)

"Reminiscent of John Le Carre with a dash of Ian Flemming, Steven Nedelton's Crossroads plunges us deep into the complicated and not yet thawed Cold War mind-power experimentations and its dubious dark characters that once inhabited that volatile underworld. Written with an uncanny knack for plot and time-shifting, this 21st century thriller also introduces us to 20 th century CIA Agent David Tall… Continue

Do you believe in the extrasensory, paranormal....

Way back in the late fifties, a man was crossing a street in a city hundreds of miles away from his home and family. He was on a business trip. All of a sudden, he had a feeling that something happened to his wife. Later, in the evening, while he was watching his hometown news, he discovered that his wife was killed that same day in an automotive accident while crossing a street. About the same time he had the premonition.

Good Morning Steven,

I have a clear memory of Bridget Bardot!! I think the new President and First Lady of France are excellent representatives of the French people, and aim for strong relationship with the United States. I'm not really familiar with any of their stand-outs in the arts and entertainment industry.

Have a great Monday.

Hi Sterven,

I totally agree with you. You forgot to mention the French people are blessed with a great sense of humor!

Hi Steven,

Just kidding about my "desising" France. I do not ever judge a people by the actions of their government. I have not been to France for over 40 years, but I do see the news and realize there is mutual respect between most Americans and French citizens. And, lest we forget General Layfaette and the French Government's contributions to the Colonial States in the Revolutionary War, and of course our enduring gift from France, our Statue of Liberty! The only thing consistent in life is change, and I have learned to agree with that famous quotation.

Regards,

Mike Phelps

Hello Steven,

Thank you for your kind words. I "lived" in France and Viet Nam (courtesy of the USAF) many years ago. Have travelled through England, Belgium, Holland. I love England (London), and despise France (albeit that has a little to do with former President DeGaulle, who had decided the US had no part in saving France from the Nazis, and ordered all US military bases closed . . . thus my "welcome" as a "Military Advisor to the Republc of South Viet Nam, under President JFK).

While I was working as Chief Investigator for a Miami Law firm, I co-authored "DAVID JANSSEN-MY FUGITIVE" with his first wife Ellie Janssen. After retiring from the law firm, and largely based on the success of teh Janssen book, I have embarked on a new career, as a WRITER.

THE EXECUTION OF JUSTICE is based on a true story of the murder of my close friend, and one-time menor, Detective Sergeant Jack Ohrberg of the Robbery & Homicide unit of the Indianapolis Police Department. With this debut novel, I created the "Mike Walsh Detective Novels" series. Every incident related in The Execution of Justice actually occured. The second novel in the series, THE JOCKEY'S JUSTICE is based on a true story of a case I worked on for the law firm. Eight years after a horse racing jockey is murdered, his widow and their son-in-law are charged with the crime. My assistant and I travelled to Kentucky to investigate the case. What we discovered was race-fixing, ties to the Chicago Mafia, political corruption in the small town, inept cops and a prosecutor with tunnel vision. I hope readers will enjoy an inside look at the seedy side of the Sport of Kings.

The third novel, INSANE JUSTICE involves a double-homicide on Miami Beach. It involves a Cuban-American immigrant, a homosexual love tri-angle; male prostuitution involving some "closeted judge, lawyer, doctors", drugs and of course, double murder.

I will get your book on your site, looking foreward to reading it.

Thanks,
Mike Phelps
