Scribblers’ Retreat is a non-profit organization established with the goal of reaching writers of all ages; to inspire and promote their hidden gifts and talents.
By involving the local community, authors, publishers, editors, journalists and all forms of the literary world, we are opening their minds and bringing hope where there was doubt.
Scribblers’ Retreat is not the typical classroom setting. It was designed to bring world-class authors, literature professors, editors, journalists, illustrators, photo journalists, proofreaders, publishers, publicists, screenplay writers, and website/graphic designers, etc. one-on-one with young and old alike. It is the opportunity of a lifetime for someone who has had a manuscript in a desk drawer for 40 years or who has an outstanding poem that simply must be read.

Thank you sincerely Jeremy, this was my first blog ever. My time is very limited with work and all, but thought I'd give it as try. I figure when there is something worth saying, I will.

About Me and My Book:
I'm the author of the fantasy/adventure, Destiny of the Sword. I was born and raised in Eckhart Mines, Maryland, and still reside there today. Destiny is the first installment of a three-book story. It follows the path of a young man who has been scarred by the tragic death of those dearest to him. He is lost without direction--but little does he know, the strength inside him will determine the fate of the human race.

Destiny of the Sword - An epic in the making?

A fallen kingdom. . . A family broken. . .

Ripples set in motion that will change their world forever.

Destiny follows the path of Ayden, a young man who has been stung by the tragic deaths of those dearest to him. He is lost without direction or meaning for his existence. But little does he know the strength inside him will determine the fate of the human race.

What clouds the circumstances even further is the mystery of a magical sword, and things left untold for too long. The sword cast a shadow over the city. Evil seeks its possession, but does not know exactly where to find it. They rage a war, kindled by revenge--seeking redemption. If the weapon falls into the wrong hands, their power would be unimaginable.

Soon a new hero will emerge--but will he be strong enough?
- Destiny will decide -
