Scribblers’ Retreat is a non-profit organization established with the goal of reaching writers of all ages; to inspire and promote their hidden gifts and talents.
By involving the local community, authors, publishers, editors, journalists and all forms of the literary world, we are opening their minds and bringing hope where there was doubt.
Scribblers’ Retreat is not the typical classroom setting. It was designed to bring world-class authors, literature professors, editors, journalists, illustrators, photo journalists, proofreaders, publishers, publicists, screenplay writers, and website/graphic designers, etc. one-on-one with young and old alike. It is the opportunity of a lifetime for someone who has had a manuscript in a desk drawer for 40 years or who has an outstanding poem that simply must be read.

HAPPY HOLIDAYS!
The blessings we ask for this season
Aren't the kind that come wrapped with a bow;
We're asking for gifts from the heart,
Ones we need and never outgrow.
May we see in these bright decorations
With their colors and lights all aglow,
The beauty and wonder of life
That God's world was created to show.
Let the peace and goodwill of this season
Be feelings that we can extend
Far into the following year
To our neighbors, our family, and friends.
Most of all, may we always remember
To open our hearts every day and share all the love and the joy
In a special and meaningful way.

22nd Century Press

Helping you to "Free Your Inner Book", we are a publishing company like no other. 22nd Century Press combines the best of traditional small independent press publishing with the new wave in print on demand.
22nd Century Press is a small, independent publishing company that specializes in bringing great reads by African Americans and others to light. We:
  • Pay royalties
  • Choose our projects
  • Provide professional editing, layout, and book cover illustration
  • Do not release a book until it looks & is the best
  • Provide professional publishing consulting and coaching
  • Provide marketing plans and venues
  • Work with authors who are serious about selling a minimum of 5 - 10,000 books
  • Don't play silly vanity press games.
Contact us today at: info@22ndCenturyPress.com
Find out how 22nd Century Press can assist you in freeing the book in you. Not only do we publish books in the traditional model (6 books per year), we also provide coaching, education, ghostwriting, editorial, design, marketing, distributing and printing assistance to the self-published author with our My Century affiliate.
Request Manuscript Submittal Information Today
Please do not send manuscripts before reviewing guidelines.

We created My Century specifically to help self-published authors make the best book possible. It's a mash-up of subsidy, pod, and traditional publishing. We provide coaching, pay royalties and take submissions, however we do not accept all manuscripts for publication.

We partner with our authors to create a high quality, well-designed, salable book; not a quick, get-it-out-there-in-a-minute unprofessional job. We offer sincere editing and criticism aimed at making the author successful.

Before you choose another publishing solution - give us a call. Quality and personal service is the 22nd Century Press and My Century difference.
