About Me and My Book:
I'm a national award winning author with two books in print at present. Stepping Off the Edge and Numenon cover the same subject in different ways. Stepping Off the Edge is part memoir, part self help, and part amazing. It's about spiritual growth (mine) and taking risks: Stepping Off the Edge. It's the true story of my life during a few years when everything that could go wrong, does. Come along with me as I beat an eBay addiction, travel to Missouri's Ozarks to find my roots, and go to a Native American spiritual retreat in Tennessee. It's a tale with everything you'd expect in a novel--but it's nonfiction.

Numenon is nonfiction that reads like a true story. It's about Will Duane, the richest man in the world, founder and CEO of Numenon, Inc., as he and a few of his top executives travel to a retreat given my by a great Native shaman. The retreat is set in the enormously powerful Mogollon Bowl in the wilds of New Mexico.

Will Duane has everything a man could want: The entire material world is a this disposal. Unfortunately, he's stalked by an unnamed power that he knows is real. On the way to the retreat site, the corporate caravan of pristine, matched motor homes becomes hopelessly lost in the desert. Their lives are endangered by natural and supernatural forces. When disaster strikes, they can only be saved by the shaman's power-–and an unexpected healer. This is a thriller, tale of conflicting cultures, and spiritual epic like you've never seen.

What about me? I'm a mother, wife, horse rancher, wife, author, and lots more. I live on a horse ranch in southern California with my husband of 28 years (and counting). I've been in school a very long time, with two master's degrees and several professional careers in Silicon Valley. I was born and raised there, in the days before anyone knew what silicon was. The overarching topic of my writing is spirituality, not the preachy, you gotta be/think/believe like me type, but the type that will keep you alive. I'm alive in all the best ways and wish you the same.

Scribblers’ Retreat is a non-profit organization established with the goal of reaching writers of all ages; to inspire and promote their hidden gifts and talents.
By involving the local community, authors, publishers, editors, journalists and all forms of the literary world, we are opening their minds and bringing hope where there was doubt.
Scribblers’ Retreat is not the typical classroom setting. It was designed to bring world-class authors, literature professors, editors, journalists, illustrators, photo journalists, proofreaders, publishers, publicists, screenplay writers, and website/graphic designers, etc. one-on-one with young and old alike. It is the opportunity of a lifetime for someone who has had a manuscript in a desk drawer for 40 years or who has an outstanding poem that simply must be read.
