- Let there be no doubt about it, Ron Adams loves a good story. As a child growing up around an extended family, he learned to appreciate the stories told by his great grandfather of “the old days” in Boston, of the family histories related by his grandparents. The family genealogy was brought to life by his aunt. And then there was the odd assortment of characters that always seemed to be around his parents home. Priests, cops, bar owners, bikers, Marines, cross country hitchhiking cousins, and even international animal rescue workers all provided their own unique stories, and a base for his imagination. From his great grandfather, he also developed a love of reading, which became a lifelong desire to become a writer.
Ron has taken this varied background and written poetry for his college yearbook, and has published articles based on his experiences in his ‘day job’ as a physical therapist. Based on a lifetime of colorful individuals and a love of the mystery and crime fiction genre, he published his first novel, Lake Effect, in 2003. He is active in several online writing communities, including the Western New York Writers group and Thriller Authors group on bookmarket.ning.com, and the Authors Lounge group on Bebo.com.
Born and raised in Massachussetts, Ron Adams graduated from Daemen College in Amherst, New York in 1983. He has called Buffalo and the western New York area home for over twenty years. Currently he lives in Hamburg, New York with his wife, Trish, and two children.
In Key Lime Squeeze, mob princess Angela Cantolino-Boothby wants her runaway husband back. So do her brothers, the kingpins of the Cantolino crime family, as well as a host of dubious characters. Buffalo P.I. Joe Banks heads to the Florida Keys to find Robert Boothby, and soon learns that all these people aren’t just missing Robert’s charming personality. Will Banks get caught in the squeeze?

With equal parts suspense, drama, and wit, Ronald Adams has crafted a superb crime thriller in Key Lime Squeeze. Tight action coupled with pointed dialogue & colorful characters make this story an enjoyable, fast-paced read with many surprising twists along the way.
Robert Boothby, a milquetoast insurance executive, has the great fortune of marrying the alluring, seductive Angela Cantolino. Unfortunately for him, her beauty (and every other part of her) comes with a considerable price – one that Robert soon finds too high to pay. So, her turns to cyberspace in search of true love and affection, where he meets a mysterious stranger who soon has him so enraptured that he decides to leave Angela and his mundane life behind. So convinced of the bliss that awaits him, he makes off with over a million dollars of ill-gotten funds that he's secretly pilfered from Angela's crime family – who, ironically, was stealing it from Robert's own company with his help.
Thus enters Joe Banks, famed private investigator, who is recruited by the Cantolino family to pursue Robert and recover the stolen funds. Accompanying him is the Cantolinos' trusted enforcer, Solomon, who tags along for good measure to ensure that the job is done – and done well. What Joe and Solomon don't realize, though, is that the Cantolinos believe in hedging all their bets, and the duo soon encounters more than their fair share of surprises – coming in the form of a host of shady characters – in the heated hunt for Robert. What was once a simple recovery operation soon becomes a tortuous ordeal so dangerous that Joe & Solomon's own lives – not to mention that of Joe's family – are soon caught up in the mix.
Key Lime Squeeze is an action-packed thrill ride that renders the term "page-turner" an understatement. Adams is a gifted storyteller whose penchant for detail enlivens each plot twist with just the right amount of suspense and intrigue. Also, his biting sense of humor shines through as the perfect counterweight to the dramatic tension framing each chapter with effortless subtlety.

It is with extremely mixed emotions that I have recently ended my association with Enspiren Press. What Makes a Good Bad Guy?
Getting your readers to hate the bad guy is much easier than getting them to sympathize with them. True, you may want to give your villain some redeeming qualities, but if your character does something truly loathsome, your readers will never forget.

Some Things You Never Outgrow
It was a bad week. We all have them, kids and adults alike. Everything I touched broke, everything I tried to do became undone, and it seemed the harder I tried the further behind I wound up. Even the end of the workday brought no relief.
