About Me and My Book:
I've married to Ross for 33 years and have 3 children. I've been writing forever. I've had a lot of different jobs. I worked in a family business for 7 years. My two vocational callings were being a teacher grades 9-12, and being a registered nurse which required me to go back to school. I loved both. I saw them as ministries. I learned so much about teenagers as a teacher. As a nurse I started out working in a children's psychiatric hospital, working with very young children. I loved it. I also worked in a drug and alcohol detox unit. Eventually, I worked with every age group on pysch units. I started seriouly writing again about 10 years ago to help me cope with the stress of the job. I kept a journal and completed a book in 3 months. It's sitting in a drawer. I had an accident which left me partially disabled, and I was unable to work in a hospital. My next vocation became writing. I had some short stories published, and some short articles published in different magazines and e-zines. The book I have coming out in a few weeks is called Oklahoma Hearts Online.com. It's partially based on real life experience when a friend and I signed up for computer dating while we were in college. We didn't meet our Mr. Perfect. My friend was matched with a garbage collector. So I used the idea of 3 women buying a dating service and puting it online. The book is a romantic suspense written with humor. My publisher is PublishAmerica. They've done a lovely job on the cover. I know that I'm going to have to work my butt off to sale my book. I have a plan. I'm read to go.

I'm going to start try to arrange some signings soon. I have some good support people.

Blessings,

Scribblers’ Retreat is a non-profit organization established with the goal of reaching writers of all ages; to inspire and promote their hidden gifts and talents.
By involving the local community, authors, publishers, editors, journalists and all forms of the literary world, we are opening their minds and bringing hope where there was doubt.
Scribblers’ Retreat is not the typical classroom setting. It was designed to bring world-class authors, literature professors, editors, journalists, illustrators, photo journalists, proofreaders, publishers, publicists, screenplay writers, and website/graphic designers, etc. one-on-one with young and old alike. It is the opportunity of a lifetime for someone who has had a manuscript in a desk drawer for 40 years or who has an outstanding poem that simply must be read.
