About Me and My Book:
Looking back over my life, it seems I have lived several in my 48 years. My intent since youth has been to leave behind a most colorful portrait of memory and experience. In doing so, I have left a trail full of both peace and destruction at different times. But I have lived full, and drive to continue in the same manner. Live well and be courageous! Fear nothing and seek your passion!

I am very relationship oriented; not in a simple and superficial way, but intensely deep. I am always looking deeper into a person than what they present on the surface. I seek to know what is truly inside of them and how I can help to bring it closer to the surface.

During the past fifteen years, I have increasingly focused my attention and energies on helping to build people – to move them to a place they already know exists within them, but fear moving toward it. I have done this with speaking, writing and personal attention. I have written plays with a certain target audience in mind and taken them to several places in the U.S. to perform. This has all been done free and for the purpose of drawing the better out of people. (one of these plays was Choose You Must - now becoming a novel)

I am moving my life at a much faster pace than previously. I am writing ferociously with two more books to finish this year (2009) and one early 2010. I feel strongly I am called to bring each one to you. And for this reason I write them, no other.

My purpose on this earth is to facilitate growth in others. Not from a program I develop and seek profit from, but from the depth of each individual. We each have our own place of being, we simply fear the path, or are blinded to it by so many outside influences and forces. My call is to bring you to your own path and help show you it is not only safe to travel, but also most rewarding.

Live Life! And live it to your inner potential...the one you have probably hidden away in a dark corner because of limits others have placed upon you. Go for it!

Sandcastle Life

Laboring strong all the days of his life,
he builds his castle, but fills it with strife.
Towering high, above all those below,
peering over the land, his father bestowed.
Barren and empty are acres of field;
his spirit so damaged, yet not willing to yield.

Surrounding his castle lays a great moat,
holding at bay those he wants close.
A functioning drawbridge placed in the wall,
has never been opened and never will fall.
Each moment inside him, a midnight so dark;
a journey so needed, but he fears to embark.

The building continues, on his castle so grand;
covering his pain, he works with his hands.
Aching inside, yet avoiding his truth,
a lonely path he’s traversed, beginning with youth.
Leading to nowhere but lost and alone,
he bends to continue, as he adds one more stone.

Seeing his work, brings tears to my eyes;
wasting his labor, decaying his life.
The towers grow higher, but empty they are;
his spirit so lonely, so damaged and scarred.
Building and dreaming he hopes they arrive,
but alone he will live in his sandcastle life

Hi Christian,

Congratulations on your book, Life in Poetry and Prose. I just wanted to mention to you a website I built called AlreadyPublished.com. It's for authors to promote their book. You do so by posting your book's first chapter, giving readers a peek into your book. The site is free and the list of books is growing, so please check it out. :) BTW, good luck with your book!

p.s. You can also check out this blog post on the Already Published Ning Network, I explain how to post your book. You can also learn more about the website there.

Best,
John

This site looks pretty awesome, and your page is impressive! I'm going to work on my bio first (got a deadline to meet!), then you bet, I'll spend some time exploring and building my page.

You're awesome, Christian!

Yes, I am working on my bio. Never really put one together before, so I am checking others out to get an idea what I want to disclose about myself. After all, I do have an image to uphold. Shooting for having it completed tonight. Ciao!

Hi Christian. I just listened, and that was an outstanding interview on Blog talk radio! I love the fact that you write from your heart, and from what you’ve experienced in life. That’s what I’m all about too. You’re a Christian, and without getting too spiritual, Read acts 20:24. What you said about why you are living hit a chord with me because this is my reason too! That scripture hangs on one of my shelves:) So we just have to obey, put ourselves out there, and God knows exactly what others need to hear. He also knows how they need to hear it. Just wanted to encourage you. Have a great day!

SO glad to hear from you. I just received a call from HRA stating that they want to change my mom's home care to home attendant from home health aides. I have a fight ahead of me again. I have called my congressman and my lawyer and so many other people. I have four aides that are so amazing and who care for her, I will never allow them to take away the people that are keeping her alive. Thanks for the support. I know what you are going through too and I am the only one that has to deal with this. Fran

thank you for the poem. I have had a trying day and really needed something to make me smile. thanks for the thoughts of the day they are truly inspirational and wonderfu. I love your music. Fran
Your music made me realize that what I am doing to take care of my mom who has ALZ is right and not to care about what others think. My mom is home and has 24 hour care at home and I have been told I should have placed her in home. I know that she does not always say the nicest things and does not always know who I am, but you are right I will always be there for her and remember all that she did for me. Fran
