I would like to connect with you there also. I am trying to make more friends and fans so that I can spread awareness for breast cancer during pregnancy. I was diagnosed Stage 3 in the 5th month of my pregnancy in May. My status updates on Facebook and LinkedIn are usually about my fight.

I'd suggest just asking questions in this forum group: http://bookmarket.ning.com/forum/topics/523145:Topic:10404?x=1&id=523145%3ATopic%3A10404&page=1#comments
There are several publisher types that chime in with good information.
Thank you for listening. I know God has big plans for this little book. So many women need the encouragement it offers. I will visit your website tomorrow and contact you about your services. I have thought about translation - might need to hold off a bit due to budget constraints... I look forward to talking with you about this more. Be blessed.
1. Quite easy to start our own publishing company. My wife filled out some papers and paid something to the local government (I'll ask her how much; she's the president of our company!). We set it up as an LLC. It also helps our accounting to have a separate credit card and bank account for our book business.
2. Then we set up a Website. We set it up on a cheap host (I think it cost us about $5 per month, but if I were doing it now, I'd probably set it up free of charge as a Wordpress site. Easier to maintain yourself and use templates to make it look professional. Here's our site: www.wisdomcreekpress.com .)
3. When you purchase ISBN numbers, you'll do it using your publishing company's name.
4. Don't name your publishing company after yourself, or it's a dead giveaway to reviewers that you're self-published.
The outcome is that my books appear more legitimate to reviewers. Many, many reviewers would automatically trash all self-published, print-on-demand books. It's not so much that they're prejudiced - they just don't have time to read every book in the huge pile by their desk. Since they know that publishers have more likely separated the wheat from the chaff and given their books a decent edit, they'll stick with those.
You asked about our publishing company. At this point, my wife and I are just publishing our own books. But I can give you any information you need. Just ask. Also, you're in Cumming and we're in Acworth. Are you involved in the Georgia Writers Association? We have monthly meetings at KSU and will be hosting a writers conference November 7. You can find us at http://www.georgiawriters.net .
