About Me and My Book:
My husband George and I are ordained and serve as Christian Counselors who are passionate about helping hurting seekers and believers recover emotionally. Ours is a great commandment ministry, and our counseling is about developing balanced, healthy relationships with God, others and self.

We were inspired to develop a truly unique and effective counseling tool that we use in our sessions that can also be used privately in self help situations. It's an emotional recovery workbook for Christians. It's easy to follow, it's simply written, and it's transformed many lives. We pray it ministers to you and those you care about.

When you visit our site, you can order the workbook. You'll also find emotional recovery tips and tools as well as suggestions on how to seek safe support. We look forward to supporting you in any way we can and sharing God's awesome love with you.

Regarding donations, that's always a touchy subject. Ministries are funded by donations, and we are grateful to those of you who support us in this way so we can continue to do this work that God has given us to do.

Our outreaches include Christian Counseling (a good deal of it is pro bono: we have never turned anyone away who truly is ready and willing to make the changes needed to free them to be and do all that God wants them to be and do), writing emotional recovery tools from a Christian perspective like the workbook we talked about here, and encouraging groups of all sizes that God loves them, wants to be in relationship with them and wants them to be set free from who or what hurt them so they can be and do all that God has planned for their lives.

We encourage you to prayerfully consider your contribution amount, and we thank you in advance for it. We are grateful for any amount donated, but when you send $25.00 or more, we will send you a personally inscribed and autographed copy of our emotional recovery workbook for Christians, Encouraging Words for Life's Tough Times.

Encouraging Words for Your Emotional and Physical Health

Hi friends present and future!
When life gets hard, what do you choose to think about? Do you "awfulize" or think about the worst that can happen, do you allow yourself to be in despair or do you choose to think on things that can be encouraging in spite of your circumstances?

God keeps bringing Matthew 6 into my head, and there's great reason for that! This is Jesus chiding us gently to think about things that are positive just like Paul does in Phillippian…

Is it okay to be angry with God?

Most of those we see in our Christian Counseling practice have issues with anger, and one of the most frequently asked questions is , "Is it okay to be angry with God?"

Our answer may surprise you. We explain that anger is an emotional response, and it can express surprise at some kind of loss like the loss of a relationship through death, divorce or betrayal, the loss of health due to accident or illnes or the loss of financial security due to circumstances beyond your control or…

A Very Special Message

I send you greetings of peace and love from the rest of the family. They, like I, are always with you and never leave or forsake you. The angels and the rest of us want you to know how precious you are to us.

Ever had one of THOSE days?

Arrgh! Seems like when I make spiritual headway either for myself or someone else, I frequently get attacked by a seemingly impossible or unfair challenge. I'm sure this has happened to you, too. (If it hasn't, what planet are you from?)

Aside from verbally exclaiming things that hopefully are not offensive to God, what else do you say or do? Do you, like me, place your head in your hands, heave a mighty sigh and then do something to distract yourself? Discovering that doesn't work, do…

Are you looking for love in all the right places?

There's been an ongoing discussion started by a dear sister in Christ about how hung up the church is on rituals but (my words) how much it needs a love transfusion. Yes, there needs to be ceremony, structure and order, but this needs to be in place along with the real reason most seek a church home: to find a reason to stay because they feel valued, welcomed and loved.

Many, including George and me, were sent on a search for a new church home. There are many reasons why people do…

I'm in Southern Illinois. It happened again about 15 minutes ago. My son has beer bottles above his cabinet and they rattled alittle.
All my granddaughter did was say KABOOM.

Things are going good. I felt an earthquake at 4:50 this morning but I wasn't scared. I figured if it happened I would rather be up on the 9th floor rather than have all the rubble fall on me. Either way I was going to be safe in the arms of God.

Thanks for the words of encouragement. I recently lost my mother, and it took a lot for me to accept somethings. My writing was put on hold as if I had a writers block. I now look forward to dealing with my feelings and emotions through writing more and addressing those things I need to address for the healing process to be complete. Thanks again for your spiritual inspiration.
Kevin.

Hi, I just got your comment of December 22, and it is perfect. I have just come through an incredibly difficult time and I see the letter from Jesus is perfect and I thank you for it. There are no coindences in life. Everything has a reason and a purpose, and the timing of your letter was perfect and that I received it today was also perfect. Many people say often that this is not a perfect world, but I say it is. Everything in this world works to the end as it exactly should. God Bless!

Hi Sharon,
I've been busy with my fingers on my new memoir, Please God, Not Two. I hope to have it completed by the end of 2008 or sooner. I'm leaving Feb 3rd to the 10th for Orlando, FL. I managed to get a book signing on my first memoir, A Healing Heart, at B&N in Orlando for the 8th, 6-9pm. I contacted the Orlando Sentinel and they will mention it in their paper. I hope it helps.
