The network for book authors and publishers
First of all, Hello!
Second, I have a question based on the recent note in John's newsletter about people sending in less than polished letters to edtiors etc.
It continues to amaze me that writers do this, especially when they have more access to editors than the average person. I'm wondering if people don't seek out editing because they feel embarassed they need help writing as a writer, or if it's to save time, don't know who to turn to etc.
Whether you'd like to 'fess…

Thanks for inviting me to be your friend. I accept.
What is your book about? Is it fiction or non-fiction?
I'm a writer too, but I don't write books. At least, I don't ever plan to write one. I write non-fiction booklets. I started out to write a book, but it was too long and tedious a project. So, I changed my subject and downsized my project into a booklet. Then, I wrote a second booklet to cross sell the first one. It worked! I've never sold my booklets in single copies. People always buy them in pairs!
Today I'm the CEO of Up & At 'Em Publications - a company devoted to publishing, marketing, and fundraising with booklets.
Have you given any thought to using a booklet to promote your book before it is released? A booklet is a fast way to get information to your readers. It can contain snippets from your book or information that is related to it. Everyone who buys your booklet will naturally be anxious to have the full size book once it becomes available, and you can make money with the booklet while you're waiting for your book to be published.
There are many ways to use booklets. If you're interested, you might want to take a look at my blog here, and then go over to my website and poke around.
You can write a booklet and have it published much faster and more affordably than you can a book, meaning you'll get into print fast and be able to start making money sooner! And when your book is ready to be released, you'll have a waiting audience. Think about it.
I look forward to sharing with you on this network!
