About Me and My Book:
Born in Mississippi in 1965, John’s family shortly settled in Madison County where he remained until graduating high school. He joined the military immediately after graduating and completed ten years of service. During that time he attended college to gain prerequisite courses for the medical profession. John graduated from Ole Miss with a bachelors of science. He has been active in the healthcare profession for the last ten years and has published in his field.

John is passionate about his faith, family and helping others. He is avid about water sports, and enjoys weight lifting. He is a devoted husband and father, married for twenty years.

John bravely details his wife's affair and in the painful effort to reunite with her, realizes he has to overcome his own struggles, in his recently released book.

In March 2006, John Oarc published “What Ever It Takes, God” the Most Difficult Things for Men to Survive. His goal is to awaken men suffering from child sexual abuse, pornography addiction and any person suffering betrayal and the pain of adultery. You are not alone and it’s not your burden. There is ultimate forgiveness, inside and out.

John Oarc's Blog

Hello

Thanks John for the friend invite. Thanks for making this page available. I can say I've learned it's hard to get noticed. Wouldn't it be great to all meet at Oprah's with our book in hand for dinner. ha! It's draining but I keep trying to get a foot in somewhere for that one "good word" about my book.

I find the avatar pic (I am assuming it's your book's cover) very powerful.

Your book sounds like it could help a lot of men. If you need help getting the word out on your book, please check out bookpromotionnetwork.com. We're striving to help authors increase the awareness of their books through cross promotion. There is more about it on my page. Good luck to you. Lynn

Hi John,

I would like to invite you to join my Ning Book Marketing network. I have been a published author for many years and love to network with others who have a passion for writing and publishing.

If you get a chance, please visit my blog to read my special feature called The Author’s Corner. This week’s featured author is Nikki Leigh. http://www.kathleengage.blogspot.com Nikki shared some excellent tips on how an author can market themselves.

Have a great day.

This seems to be agreat place. I invite you to look at the blog I co-own with my crit partners. It's called Novel Journey. We're now being picked up daily by MySpace news. We interview authors, both CBA and ABA (I never can remember that new name). We also have a sister site where we review traditionally published novels.

If you Google Novel Journey, you'll find us. :o) Come on by!

Hi John,

I have add the the link to my site. Just look for Free Press Release in the promotional resource section. That should help.

Hey, John,
I spotted an immediate sympathetic thread between your goals and mine, although my target is to minister to women and yours is men (which is perfect, isn't it?)
In my latest book, which is contemporary fiction, I also may be "pushing the envelope" for my Christian readers, but only in the sense that I include some frank sexual discussion (not acts!). There's some real-world temptation, because that is the place we live, and I want to reach women where they are, in the real world. Is there a chance some people may be offended? There always is, but we can't "play it safe"--in a world of skyrocketing teen pregnancies, promiscuity and soaring STD's--until our readers learn how to. (I'm talking about abstinence, not the popular urban legend of "safe sex." ) That's my feeling on this. (Didn't mean to make my post a soapbox, sorry for that!)
Let me know how you do with your book. I'm sorry to read about all the pain you've suffered, but you're doing good things with what you've been given.
Keep it up.
Blessings,

Linore
