The working title for my immediate book project is "The Candidate's Bedside Reader."
This is a training manual, specifically designed to prepare candidates for public office to enter their contest from a prepared and informed position. It covers all aspects of political campaigns with a combination of humor, illustrative anecdotes and technical information understandable to a lay person. This book is near completion and will be used in context with candidate training seminars. I have begun work on several other book projects. One is a metaphysical/interstitial Western novel, set in California's Gold Rush era. The others are non-fiction - a genealogical work on my surname line, a book about the modern state of the Oklahoma Choctaw Nation, of which I am a tribal member, a pop psychology/self discovery book, and a compilation of my research and personal experiences in spiritual and holistic healing - an intuitive journey of discovery that led to the healing of cancer.
In November 2008 I retired from the business of political campaign management and lobbying - something I had been doing since 1970. My background includes 28 years of public service in California, working for both the State Legislature and Governor. I am now in the Healthy Chocolate business, which I enjoy immensely after decades of stress in the political arena.
This will be my first published book. I have been extensively published in magazines - travel, historical and cultural articles.

Ted,
Congratulations on being a survivor of 11 years. I'm looking forward to that--it's been 3 years for me. If you had a chance to read my bio then you know I couln't take any cancer treatment beyond surgery. I turned to an organic diet and my liver healed. I continue on an organic diet to fight cancer recurrence--I have a 20 % chance of recurrence. The way I look at it is that I have an 80% chance of no recurrence!
The experience led me to write my book "Organic for Health."
Right now I am preparing for a blog tour--my first. (I'm having a lot of "firsts.") have you ever had one?

I always told myself that someday I would write a book about my life and what happened to my mother. When children are subjected to domestic violence it never goes away. I was actually guided by the hand of God, because all my life whenever anything bad would happen to me a voice would tell me, "write this down you don't want to forget it" and I always did. I have been writing all my life. God was preparing me to find out the truth and write my story. I didn't realize it was God who was talking to me all my life until my only brother died last summer and the minister invited me to attend his church. During the middle of the service, the minister told us to turn our bibles to Revelations 14, Verse 13 and I wanted to stand up and shout!
First find out if raw milk is available where you live. For reasons that have to do with politics, most states don't allow its sale. The salba seeds are brand new to me - picked up something on the internet and ordered a supply. The chocolate is available only through network marketing, in which I am involved. There is only one company with the processing patent that retains the full phytonutrient content of the cacao and that's the one I work with. Health benefits are phenomenal and wide ranging, including some surprising areas such as weight loss and dental health. Contact me directly at my email and I will send you info - nashoba8@comcast.net. Check online for Northstar Nutritionals.

Yes, I had to live it in order to write it. I have gone full circle in my life and I'm right back where I started as a small child.
All the best,
Rosie
