About Me and My Book:
Hello from Chris in Massachusetts,

I grew up in Massachusetts and went to college in Vermont, where I lived for 23 years before moving back to Massachusetts in 2001. Burlington Vermont was great, but it's nice to be back with family in Massachusetts. I was recently married for the second time. My wife Jane, and I are born-again Christian's and truly loving life. I'm just going to go off here with random thoughts and experiences that I have had recently, just to give you a better idea of who I am. My first book, Life Interrupted, It's Not All About Me was self published July 2007. Since that time the book has been republished by Tate publishing enterprises a well-known Christian publisher. The book is due to be distributed in stores nationwide in hardcopy, audio book and e-book in late summer 2008. Anyway, here are some more details about me and what I've been up to. I have MS, if you or someone you know has MS you know MS is different for every individual. The combination of symptoms is like the variables in an algebraic equation. There are so many different variations of symptoms with this disease, but we’re all pretty much on the same wavelength when it comes to understanding the emotional challenges we face. How we deal mentally in our personal lives can be so devastating. Wouldn’t it be nice to find some mental relief? I wrote a book designed to help others deal with and understand how chronic illness affects relationships. The book is my real life story. I have had MS for 28 years, divorced and remarried. Praise the Lord! If you'd like to learn more about my book you can by visiting my web site: http://www.freewebs.com/lifeinterrupted-nolonger/index.htm

It was not my intention to be a writer with degrees in ecology, chemistry and human resources, but in 1995, after having relapsing remitting MS for 15 years I was disabled by secondary progresses MS. Between the disease and my divorce in 2002 my life was a mess and seemed to have only one direction, down! But, God had bigger plans. I'm in the process of writing my second self-help MS book entitled A Christian Perspective and I frequently write articles for various magazines, online magazines and web sites like MSworld.org and MSfocus.org and just recently I had a two page article published in the 2008 summer issue of MS focus magazine. I look forward to meeting and making new friends here.

by Chris M. Tatevosian

"Life Interrupted: It's Not all about Me, is a candid and humble memoir about one young man's diagnosis of Multiple Sclerosis and how his 'poor-me' attitude cost him his marriage. Chris hopes others might learn from his mistakes to communicate more effectively and not allow disability and low self-worth to destroy relationships. Hello Chris. Thank you for your letter. My entire purpose is to assist people in triumphing over tragedy and seeing the perfection of the events of their lives in assisting them in re-remembering who they truly are. I would love to read your book and put a link on my site. I will send you my book to read so you will know if it is something you can endorse on your site. Please send me your mailing address and if you would be so kind as to email me a bit of your book, I'm sure it will be perfect to link to my site.
thanks

Dear Chris,
First off I will be more than happy to post your book on my website. I will post it on www.freewebs.com/childrensauthorbooks and I will also post a link on my www.freewebs.com/mjdaleyprado site. I try to keep adult material off of that site as it is for children.
There's more you can do Chris...**make a website. If you need help let me know, I will be glad to offer my services free of charge for you. I did several websites for friends including my own and I think having a professional website helps. Then you have to get the link out there and put it in all the search engines. I am learning all the time but with my cancer book (Grandma What Is Cancer) I contacted everyone imaginable. From the cancer foundations to local hospitals, I even donate 50% of my profits to the dream foundation and JH breast center.
You have several terrific outlets that you can turn to. You have
*Montel Williams (He may be sympathetic to your cause since he has it!)
*MS Foundation
*local hospitals.....write letters after letters. I sent many by email. *Contact your local newspapers.
* Make book marks and leave them in the office when you go for appointments.
*Publicize you can do this folr free at www.thebookattic.us and www.anastasiasbookattic.com
*Contact Lillian Brummet at Blog Talk Radio (she does shows that make a difference) www.blogtalkradio.com/consciousdiscussions, http://www.myspace.com/canadianauthor
Feel free to contact me by email (maryjoprado at comcast dot net )and I will be glad to help. It's difficult....I know I am struggling too. But we can do it!!

Dear Chris~I am glad you wrote me today. I too have suffered from chrons illness. My disease is POTS and many of the symptoms mimic MS,in fact I have had optic neuritis and have also been tested many times for MS. It's amazing also how many celebrities who I have grown up watching ave also come down with MS (like Montel Williams and Alan Osmond to name a few).I think it's important to get word out to let people know that you can live with a devastating illness...you have to control the illness and "take the bull by the horns"...not let "IT" control you/us! Hang in there Chris and continue to stay strong and continue to spread your good message to people out there and let them know they can continue with life.God Bless! MJ
