Canadian eh?
Hi Friends! Even though our dollar has reached par and beyond the American dollar; our bookstores aren't lowering their prices for Canadian authors. For instance my novella, " Tag...You're Dead" sells for around 16.95 US, but our stores charge between 20 and 22 dollars. Why? Plus, I would like to know where the money trail goes from books sold at the store to the middle man to the publisher and finally to the author. This is nearly impossible. sales were sluggish the first year due to the "familiarity of the title. I could have given it a diferent title, but had I known this but it is still a legit title for a couple of reasons;1. It has a slightly different meaning than the other and 2. the story is fiction of a serial killer, which also happens to have a threaded romance through it. Hope I answered your question.
