Book Cover

I would like you to review my book cover and tell me what you feel at first glance. Does the cover want you to know more about the plot and story line. Would you be curious enough to read the back cover? Would you want to know what she is thinking or going through?

That is a very nice cover, I would definitely read the back. One suggestion is that you should switch the font to a san-serif font so that it stands out better. San-serif fonts are best for headings and titles. Text should always be in a serif font.

What is san-serif font? I've never heard of it and it isn't available in my MS Word program. Where would I go to look for such a font to get an idea of what it looks like?

A san-serif font is one that has no serif's at the ends, such as Impact, Ariel, and the like. These are used for titles and headings. Serifs, such as in Georgia, Times Roman, and Palantino are little tiny components of the font that help the eye track along the text. This helps in reading the text. There is no "font" called san-serif.

That is absolutely a fantastic cover. It does cause one to want to turn it over for a read of the back cover. Very nice.

I had a job reading the text because of how it reads, down then up.

You're the author and you should be proud of your work. I would make the image smaller and your name larger.

No. I wouldn't read the book because of the title. But that's just me.

Best of luck.

Sabriena,
The cover is absolutely captivating. If I encountered your book with this cover, I would be compelled to delve further. Good choice as far as i am concerned.

Hi,
I like the photo and the colors are great, but curiously what bothered me as that the title of the book in inverted on the right side, very unusual. I don't think I have seen another book cover set up that way and am wondering if it meets publishing standards. I would read the backcover no matter what.
The way I chose my book cover was that I had three samples and went to a coffee shop and asked random people which cover would make them want to buy the book.
They picked my choice too.
God bless you,
Ariadne

she doesnt look like she is thinking about anything, she is just posing. The title and pic have no connection.
It doesnt interest me, it just looks like someone put a good looking chick on there to
make someone stop and look.

which is part of your goal also..

It does its job in terms of being arresting and making someone stop
