Hi Carol! Yes, I have two books out currently available on Amazon as well as from the publisher at www.secondwindpublishing.com. They are titled "Images of Betrayal" and "Fate and Destiny".
I'm here all year on the west side. It's a great place to be, just a little warm in the summer, but that's okay because I can hide out in the air conditioning and write!
Carol .. suggest you contact a friend who has lived there at least ten years and knows the in's and out's and is a writer, also (no book published) However I do not want to post her name or email publicly -- how shall we handle this???
I too have been very busy with many things. My writing books planning has taken on a new dimension as I now plan it will be a series of three inspirational, motivational books. The ning group I mentioned has taken on a new dimension and I am not sure it is still active. Will let you know. If you know people who live in The Villages -- near Ocala, upscale retirement community it could be a good market for you. Very controlled environment .. :) How are sales etc going?

Yes, I do think there are ways we can help one another First thought is there is a local ning group and I have introduced people from outside of the immediate area .. a friend who is a playwright and author in Chicago .. is one instance. HE gets to the Orlando area periodically. What part of the country is home and do you plan to do any traveling. There is a statewide writers' convention in Lake Mary (about five miles from me) in early November. I have not participated recently but could put you in touch with the people. Also a number of BN here, two I know the CR's and I think they could open doors to others such as Daytona, Melbourne, Tampa and Jacksonville. Also I think I have the name of the Florida State wide AARP director. Just some ideas .. if you do want to get signed on to the local ning I have to introduce you to the organiaer with a recommendation and would need your email address. It is MADABOUTWORDS LOUNGE . there is also a website with those words with .com after WORDS.
I working with an idea of putting together a book that would be an initial introduction to my process and journey with about 20 to 25 poems with comments about the role they had when I wrote them, several almost twenty years ago, and over the following years up to the present.
It will be inspirational to encourage people to listen to that itch or unusual word that spills out of them and the tendency is to cast it aside. No, hold on to it. You may not know the meaning but it will come clear eventually is my experience. My vision is that it will be probably about 150 6 x 9 pages that I could put together fairly readily. At least 50 percent or more of the work is written... with editing etc it should unfold out of me with ease. Reactions and comments on my thoughts welcome... by the way my second blog is WWW.WORDPOWERTRUTH.ORG and some of my poetry with abbreviated comments will appear there as an early marketing too. BTW some friends signed on to FACEBOOK today so now I am there. are you there .. if so make me your friend mmcilvane@cfl.rr.com
