Scribblers’ Retreat is a non-profit organization established with the goal of reaching writers of all ages; to inspire and promote their hidden gifts and talents.
By involving the local community, authors, publishers, editors, journalists and all forms of the literary world, we are opening their minds and bringing hope where there was doubt.
Scribblers’ Retreat is not the typical classroom setting. It was designed to bring world-class authors, literature professors, editors, journalists, illustrators, photo journalists, proofreaders, publishers, publicists, screenplay writers, and website/graphic designers, etc. one-on-one with young and old alike. It is the opportunity of a lifetime for someone who has had a manuscript in a desk drawer for 40 years or who has an outstanding poem that simply must be read.

Good morning,
I am here for you. It's ironic, people told me the same thing, that motivated me more to complete my book.
Stay encouraged and believe in your dream.

I am not foolish enough to try editing myself... I have a pro that does it for me.

She remains annonymous because she is a publisher and doesn't want the rumor of anything ever being unethical.

She taught literature before she became a publisher and is very, very good... though she isn't cheap.

But I would much rather see an author spend money on their manuscript and make it worthy of a traditional publisher that see them spend $2000.00 to self publish and have a substandard work...you know?

Editing rates are detailed on my site:

well,

with a work at personnal as this...

I would say find a really good editor first... not a cheap one either... you want the work to have impact, and you'll lose credibility if the writing isn't up to par.

Then target a good publishing house.

Hello Peter, thanks for your kind words. Feng Shui is part of your life and has become my passion for over a decade now. I am glad that I can enjoy it on a daily basis.
I am the proud author of 3 books and am working on their translations for the moment... lots of work here too but at least this is easier than writing books when starting from scratch. You have a famous author in your country who has over 100 books on the subject, Lilian Too. We have a different approach of this art of placement as I follow the black hat sect school and the form school.
I wish you lots of courage to finish the manuscritp that you started 8 years ago. You have to finish this book!
all the best,

just wrote this poem when it flashed to my mind:

In the still of the night
The stars above looked bright
From my sofa I see
The landscape all around me

The plane's lights I see
Soaring high in the sky above the sea
Then the stillness of the night remain
As I slumber in my domain.

I'm glad i'm here among all you creative people. I've written a number of poems which can be viewed at "poetry.com" under my pen name Chee Sin.

Writing a book on my personal experience in overcoming a near death experience is a new ball game to me. I'm motivated to do it....i must do it.
