Scribblers’ Retreat is a non-profit organization established with the goal of reaching writers of all ages; to inspire and promote their hidden gifts and talents.
By involving the local community, authors, publishers, editors, journalists and all forms of the literary world, we are opening their minds and bringing hope where there was doubt.
Scribblers’ Retreat is not the typical classroom setting. It was designed to bring world-class authors, literature professors, editors, journalists, illustrators, photo journalists, proofreaders, publishers, publicists, screenplay writers, and website/graphic designers, etc. one-on-one with young and old alike. It is the opportunity of a lifetime for someone who has had a manuscript in a desk drawer for 40 years or who has an outstanding poem that simply must be read.

HAPPY HOLIDAYS!
The blessings we ask for this season
Aren't the kind that come wrapped with a bow;
We're asking for gifts from the heart,
Ones we need and never outgrow.
May we see in these bright decorations
With their colors and lights all aglow,
The beauty and wonder of life
That God's world was created to show.
Let the peace and goodwill of this season
Be feelings that we can extend
Far into the following year
To our neighbors, our family, and friends.
Most of all, may we always remember
To open our hearts every day and share all the love and the joy
In a special and meaningful way.

I am glad I joined, too. It seems like a very nice site.
I am also glad I met you and that I can talk to you sometime and share ideas and experiences as far as the writing goes.
And, thank you for signing my guest book on my website. :)
I see you already had a book signing at Carmichael's bookstore and that your book will be at the Kentucky Fair. Congratulations!!!
How did you do that?
I tried Carmichael's bookstore and they kind of ignored me. And I would like to know how to enter my book for the kentucky fair if it is not late already.

big thank you for acceptiong reciprocation. Will get in touch with my webexpert which will take a few days. When he's got your URL at rsp shall advise post haste. I only search, sort of, for sites relevant to writers. As your site offers so much more it will be a `writers resource'. Still hearing voices...ooops that's the radio. Should see my dreams, scarry stuff and love it. And thanks for me an afterthought regarding `Afterthoughts'. It's the thought that counts. Till soon then
ciao for now ::}}-{OO+==

Hi Lynn. Thank you for the invite. I have checked out your great website and was gonna leave a message there but I don't use OE. So here I is. Congratulations of course on your writing endeavors. I self published years ago and still got a few copies left...like you onto the 2nd one, though it's more psychotic science fiction and YES I am SCHIZOPHRENIC, SPLIT MINDED, DELUDED, as I don't just hear voices [like the quote] but am DRIVEN by them into fractured fractalizing mind warping realities. Deranged dendrites, enhanced endomorphins, surging synapses going supernova -on a good day. Writing is a buzz.
As your site is so eclectic, your coming out of the cybafog [my myspace ext] -haven't checked your presence there.[busy busy busy] I publish e-format speculative fiction. We could do a link exchange if you want. [not insisting]
Also you said you have musicians at your cyberspace. I just recorded a sort of demo which will be launched in the web when I get my music site going [under construction]. What's the `deal' there? Forum? Cyberpresence? Blog's [which I ain't got much time for meaning flat out going nowhere...]
So that's me for the moment. Brain's going strange again-no that's the CD I'm playing.....must get my head fixed one day, never seem to get around to it.
Until then, all the best, congratulations on your books your website and your creative life. There can never be enough of that. Go for it. Success to you.
