A PALATE for POLITICIANS who LISTEN by David Dearborn
"I wonder when they'll get us outta here," said the soldier to his chief.
Then they heard an explosion and he jumped to his feet
"Politicians, they-they take their time. They only fight with words.
Wish they could see through my eyes, probably scatter like birds. Hey, hey"
"No reason to even fight it," the chief said, as he smoked.
"There are many of my soldiers who will not see their folks.
But uh-but you and I-We've accepted that.
That's why there's nothing we can't take.
So let's not lose our composure now...we'll only feed the hate."
But up high, in mountain caves, the Emir told his men,
"Let those two breathe their last breaths, then hide them in the sand."
And down deep beneath the blue ocean, the earth moved and displaced.
A Tsunami was approaching...and a war had lost its taste.
