5 Simple Ways to Create Your Online Book Publicity Blueprint!

Last Friday, I discussed with over 30 listeners how they can easily create their Online
Book Publicity Blueprints in just 5 Steps.

Here's an overview:
5 Steps to an Online Book Publicity Blueprint

1. Destination - Many authors write and publish a book without a clear-cut destination. What are you goals? Who are you trying to reach? Where do you want to be six months from the time you publish your book? Who is your market and where do they live? Are you sure that you're book provides true value in the market place?

2. Plan - Now that you know where you want to go...how will you get there? The worse thing an author can do is wait until the last moment to plan how they are going to promote your book. I suggest taking the time now to plan your 2009 success. Side note: If you're goal is to become a sought after speaker. Now is the time to start booking those engagements.

3. Message - Okay, you know where you're going and how you're going to get there. I would suggest that you focus on your message and narrow down your target market. What promise does your book make? Take that message to your target audience and give it to them over and over again. It's called the Message-2-Market-Match.

4. Brand - What do you want your readers to take away from them when they finish reading your book or before they even pick it up. What does your website look like. Does it reflect the feeling of your brand. Want a great example of an author who has all 5 steps wrapped up tightly? Visit http://www.thetoiletpaperentrepreneur.com

5. Influence - Lastly, how will you Influence your target market with your message. There are many different mediums to use. Social media & Social networking. Video, Audio, teleseminars, article marketing, postcards, send out cards, online ads, twitter, linkedin, facebook, myspace, etc. The easiest way to decide what to use is to know your target market. How do they receive their information. Are they online dwellers or off-line. Do they hang out on facebook or myspace? Maybe you should contact them with evite.com rather than aweber. Do you have a list to both online and offline that you can contact them regularly? The point I'm making is that if you know you're making how your increase your visibility and influence in that market will be obvious to you.

So there you have it. The 5 Simple Ways to Create Your Online book Publicity Blueprint. I find that when my clients use this 5 Step process they avoid wasting time, money and effort, which results in launching their book more successfully to the right audiences.
