Check out my free Twitter Mania Manual. You can download it for no cost, no sign-up requirement, no follow-up emails - simply free - at http://www.bookmarket.com/50WaystoTweet.htm.
That seems to be the question I'm being forced to ask myself.
Whether tis nobler in the mind to suffer yet another techie, time-eating attempt at book promotion
Or to take arms 'gainst a sea of silliness and by going offline, end it.
In the last few days (my apologies if you were hoping for more mangled Shakespeare), I've read in if not a horde of blogs and articles, at least a plethora of them, that Twittering (or is the verb always Tweeting?) is an indispensable tool for a writer. Somehow, te… Continue

I've been playing around with http://visibletweets.com today. You can link it up to your tweets and make a nice display for a bookstore or somewhere. Would love to hear from anyone who has used this effectively.
Anyway, go to www.visibletweets.com and type in #sklopfer/civil-rights and I made a display about my book, Who Killed Emmett Till? Not completely sure I've done this right, but it worked. ;>)

As an author your email signature is a fantastic place to distinguish yourself and stand-out from the crowd of emails that your recipients receive. In fact, it's an excellent way to unobtrusively market your book to all your email recipients. Let's do the math about the size of this marketing opportunity ... if you send an average of 10 emails a day you've got over 300 opportunities a month to tell your email recipients (clients, coworkers, friends, family and vendors) about your book.

Today we were absolutely thrilled by a comment made by noted novelist and champion of the Free e-Day movement - Dan Holloway in his blog.
In the entry Dan says, "not only do they care about writers - they listen to writers. They respond swiftly to feedback - they will even try to make changes. They actually want to give writers a tool that works for them. And they've succeeded. Bookbuzzr is the best… Continue

The Twitter mania has a reason for being. That little sucker is
reacting to the melded passions of mankind. I just love to
think I can connect by only 140 words. That's like a getting
a bestseller after only one edit and 3 press releases. And
my followers, making me feel like a rock star, say, "Yes,
you really connected, dear."
