Thirty-five-year-old Andrea and her sister, Leah, have always been close - until the day Andrea’s husband is killed by a drunk driver. Leah and other family members then rush to the widow’s side in order to help her deal with her grief, and the day after the funeral Andrea learns that she’s pregnant with the second child that she and her husband so longed to have. Yesterday I was interviewed on the radio that will air on Sunday, Nov 8th on a local FM station called WASH FM. The host was Lori Brooks and she has a program on Sunday mornings (early) called "Women of Vision" and the interview went well. I was on her show just over a year ago and afterwards there was a big spike on the web site and I also got a call from this nice gentleman who told me to call this lady, because he knew she had a special dream. I did and it's one of my favorite stories in the…

Death of a Perfect Man - Review by Martha A. Cheves, Author of Stir, Laugh, Repeat
'The pump was indeed antique, and it would be a miracle if it functioned. An old beat-up white station wagon with several flat tires sat dejectedly by the office entrance. "Red Rock Inn Limousine" had been painted on…

My deepest condolances go out to John Travolta and Kelly Preston, who lost their 16 year old son, Jett nine months ago. And to all parents who have lost a child. A parent never gets over this loss, as it is the deepest wound a heart can suffer.
Former President Bush and wife Barabara lost their daughter when she was a little girl to cancer and Academy Award Winning Actor, Cliff Robertson lost a grown daughter too. Cancer is a terrible disease, and we all need to fight it, which is why part of t…

There were many things I learned (when reaching out to others) regarding their special dream experience that was very different from my own experience. One topic in particular, that really stood out, were the stories from women who had miscarried a child and then saw the baby later on in a special dream. Here is one of the stories that was sent to me and I hope this helps other women who have gone through this loss.
Introduction: I had gotten married in August 1988, and it was almost five years…

My book comes out in just a few weeks and it has taken me over two years to get here. What I have found is that the book, (which I know I was suppose to write after ten years of researching and not finding any answers to my own experience) is taking me on a journey and so I thought it would be good to share what I have learned along the way.
Not only did I find out more about this dream experience by interviewing over 300 people but also in the last year by taking my book across the country and…

Death Enflames
I picture death standing
beside me in etched flames.
His white skull glances
over toward me and grins.
I am frozen in the fright
of this moment as I listen
for a word or to feel a touch
upon my shrouded shoulder.
I know he likes my black
shirt; it must prompt him
of the bombazine he loves.
It reminds him of darkness.
Without moving a muscle
I shift my eyes to see him,
but he is just out of sight.
If only I was sure he was
there in his quiet whispers,
dressed in shadowy…
