About Me and My Book:
My most recent book is How To Be A DIRT-SMART Buyer of Country Property (May, 2007). It shows buyers how to find, research and purchase all types of rural property--operating farms, hobby farms, second homes, vacation homes, timberland, undeveloped land, investments, minerals and conservation properties, among others. DIRT-SMART covers in 750 pages all the issues that a buyer is likely to face.

DIRT-SMART grew out of my consulting work with buyers of large land tracts. It's a consumer-oriented book, written for individual
buyers.

Complimentary review copies for publications are available upon
request. Email me at curtisseltzer@htcnet.org and include a
physical address. I will forward the email to Infinity Publishing.

I've been investing in rural property since the early 1970s.

We operate a cattle-and-timber farm in Highland County,
which boasts 2,500 residents, one blinking light and two lawyers, one of whom is my wife, Melissa Dowd. Our daughter, Molly,
graduated from the University of Virginia in June, 2007 and is
attending Northwestern's Medill School of Journalism.

How To Be a DIRT-SMART Buyer of Country Property, May, 2007.
ISBN:0-7414-3443-1. 750 pages. 8 1/2 x 11" format. Soft-cover original. $34.95. Money-back Guarantee. Infinity Publishing at www.bbotw.com.

Scribblers’ Retreat is a non-profit organization established with the goal of reaching writers of all ages; to inspire and promote their hidden gifts and talents.
By involving the local community, authors, publishers, editors, journalists and all forms of the literary world, we are opening their minds and bringing hope where there was doubt.
Scribblers’ Retreat is not the typical classroom setting. It was designed to bring world-class authors, literature professors, editors, journalists, illustrators, photo journalists, proofreaders, publishers, publicists, screenplay writers, and website/graphic designers, etc. one-on-one with young and old alike. It is the opportunity of a lifetime for someone who has had a manuscript in a desk drawer for 40 years or who has an outstanding poem that simply must be read.
