About Me and My Book:
THE FORBIDDEN DAUGAHTER is my second novel set in India and deals with the hot button issue of female feticide and gender selective abortions. A mother will fight the toughest battle to protect her unborn child.

THE DOWRY BRIDE was my debut novel. It is mainstream women's fiction with romantic elements set in India. It tells the story of one young woman trapped in India's arranged marriage and dowry system and her escape and extraordinary journey to freedom and hope.

It's My Turn to Talk - Blog

It's My Turn to Talk is a blog by Allison Knight and I'm guest blogging on it today. I'm doing something fun by interviewing my own protagonist. This is a great exercise in characterization and motivation for authors. What makes your hero or heroine do the things they do?

By involving the local community, authors, publishers, editors, journalists and all forms of the literary world, we are opening their minds and bringing hope where there was doubt.
Scribblers’ Retreat is not the typical classroom setting. It was designed to bring world-class authors, literature professors, editors, journalists, illustrators, photo journalists, proofreaders, publishers, publicists, screenplay writers, and website/graphic designers, etc. one-on-one with young and old alike. It is the opportunity of a lifetime for someone who has had a manuscript in a desk drawer for 40 years or who has an outstanding poem that simply must be read.
