Scribblers’ Retreat is a non-profit organization established with the goal of reaching writers of all ages; to inspire and promote their hidden gifts and talents.
By involving the local community, authors, publishers, editors, journalists and all forms of the literary world, we are opening their minds and bringing hope where there was doubt.
Scribblers’ Retreat is not the typical classroom setting. It was designed to bring world-class authors, literature professors, editors, journalists, illustrators, photo journalists, proofreaders, publishers, publicists, screenplay writers, and website/graphic designers, etc. one-on-one with young and old alike. It is the opportunity of a lifetime for someone who has had a manuscript in a desk drawer for 40 years or who has an outstanding poem that simply must be read.

Hey Kevin,

I am glad you took the summer off! It's seems like it always flys by. I am teaching classes through community centers on self-esteem. It's a class that I've devised, I really enjoy teaching it and watching the kids grow as they learn to become more socially and academically involved.

Take care,
Michelle

Hello, nice to meet you! That is wonderful you have been marreid for 24 years. It is rare today. I wish more people would take marriage more seriously and not rush into divorce.
That might sound strange coming from someone who wrote a divorce book! To answer your question about competition from other divorce books, Since most divorce books are written by lawyers or psychologists, I feel that my book is different because it was written by someone who went through an ugly, bitter, expensive divorce and learned lessons that can help save someone else from going through the same thing. I remember while going through my divorce looking for a book like that from a real person who survived a divorce like mine, someone I could relate to. That is why
I wrote my book. I look forward to getting to know you and learn more about how you market your books through speaking engagements.

Been There

While searching the web a few weeks ago for illustrators, which I found out a publisher gets for your work in a children's book should you ever break through the barrier, I found one of the truest statements about being an author.

For most of us it's a hobby. We work other jobs while trying to make our dreams come true. I always tell everyone. Write because you love it. Because if you don't, you're doing it for the wrong reasons. For me, writing is the greatest therapy I've ev
