- I have been writing fiction and poetry for over twenty years . . .
I have seven completed novels, of which three have been self-published. I fought the New York publishers and agents for many years, plus others around the country. I could never get anyone interested, and to be truthful, I am not my own best rah-rah guy. Still, I did try.
About three years ago I decided if I was going to ever fulfill my dream of holding a published novel I wrote in my hands it had better be soon. The clock on the wall is ticking and the wallpaper is drying, if you get my drift.
So! I self-published "My Mother's Revenge," "Margaret and David: A Love Affair," and my lastest, "Write To Murder."

Write To Murder . . . Literary Skulldruggery . . .
In my novel, Write To Murder, The Bayou Bards, a fledgling writers' group in the south Louisiana town of Sans Souci has a killer in its midst. When Mary Lamb, writer of children's books is murdered, Detective Lee Fontaine is called from the graveyard of deskwork to work the case. Lee had been reduced to deskwork because of his drunken and violent reaction to his wife Rhonda walking out on him. That she left to go with a man Lee had put in prison was almost too much for him to take.
While happy to be back solving crimes, Lee soon learns that he has been saddled with a new partner, Farla Charlet. Lee is positive she has been assigned to him as a watchdog. From the start Farla and Lee don't exactly meld into a workable team. To Lee's way of thinking Farla is too short, too muscular and too political for his taste. Farla thinks Lee is a cretin.
To further complicate matters there is the taxi driver cum prostitute who also belongs to The Bayou Bards and has a sensuous, uncanny way of getting under Lee's skin. The players in Write To Murder are diverse; from Numa Richards, a man harboring a festering literary grudge to the black reactionary, Vonzell St. Germaine.
Hope Springs and her son Adam round out this strange and somewhat unholy writer's group. Hope is the literary equivalent of a stage mother and is determined to mold and shape Adam into America's next great writer. All he needs is a firm hand and that is something Hope has in spades.
Write To Murder is a book which will titillate and amuse you until the wee hours of the morning . . .

It is the opportunity of a lifetime for someone who has had a manuscript in a desk drawer for 40 years or who has an outstanding poem that simply must be read.

My daughter left a four-year-old son, whom we have since adopted, and he is ten now. We had so many family meetings on my daughter's death before I wrote the book, as I would rather cut off my right arm, then cause my husband, and son any more pain then they had already gone through. They both wanted me to write the book, and when it got rough for me, and I wanted to quit, they both encouraged me to continue. They both deserve much more praise then I do.
