PublishAmerica Presents The Adventures of Little Buddy and Grizz
by Douglas J. Archambault
Frederick, MD March 6, 2009 -- PublishAmerica is proud to present The Adventures of Little Buddy and Grizz by Douglas J. Archambault.
The Adventures of Little Buddy and Grizz takes a modern-day setting and a writing style that goes back in time before Yogi Bear and Charlotte’s Web to the time of Nancy Drew and the Hardy Boys. The author brings to life the adventures of a ten-year-old boy who becomes lost in Yellowstone National Park and meets a gigantic grizzly that can talk. Simplistic in nature but full of adventure and humor, the story spans twelve years of the boy’s life.
Douglas’ first book, Two Stepped Out for Him, published in August 2005, brought to life a personal spiritual call that led him and his wife, Joan, on a five-year quest filled with unexpected surprises, trials, and friendships.
Douglas’ second book, The Darkness Before the Dawn, published in 2006, brought to life another personal story that dealt with his unexpected illness with colon cancer, which later uncovered other underlying issues. Included with this book was a book of poems, In My Footsteps/Poems to Inspire. These poems written during his convalescence inspired him to write The Darkness Before the Dawn.
Douglas J. Archambault and his wife Joan reside in Tilton, New Hampshire.
PublishAmerica is the home of 30,000 talented authors. PublishAmerica is a traditional publishing company whose primary goal is to encourage and promote the works of new, previously undiscovered writers. Like more mainstream publishers, PublishAmerica pays its authors advances and royalties, makes its books available in both the United States and Europe through all bookstores, and never charges any fees for its services. PublishAmerica offers a distinctly personal, supportive alternative to vanity presses and less accessible publishers.

Why I wrote The Adventures of Little Buddy and Grizz
I wanted to take a modern day setting and a writing style that goes back in time before Yogi Bear and Charlotte’s Web to the time of Nancy Drew and the Hardy Boys. I did not want illustrations to distract who the characters were. I wanted the reader to be Buddy and experience for themselves, the adventures as they unfolded around them. I wanted to bring to life the adventures of a 10-year old boy who becomes lost in Yellowstone National Park…

A Fresh Start in my Golden Years Golden Years
I am enjoying my Golden Years not because I deserve them, but because of God’s Grace I can fulfill my destiny that He so graciously has given me.
I must apologize for not writing sooner. There are many new faces that have appeared on this network and I wish to welcome them.
Although I have weathered the storm of colon cancer which I have written about in my second book and now have a battle with a progressive skin cancer, nothing floored me more t…

You Are Never to Old to Start Something New
By
Douglas J. Archambault
Starting another year and already in my so-called Golden Years I can not think of what I would be doing today if I never took up writing as an author and poet using my computer. When I retired I had little skills to work on a computer, I certainly was not an advanced user. I had nev

Golden Years?
Human nature being what it is we have always been concerned about the years ahead. We would like to know what the future would bring. There is a fear of the future with the sickness or death of a loved one. We look in the mirror and see this face looking back at us, and say wow I am getting old. I am reminded in my later years of an incident when I was a store

By involving the local community, authors, publishers, editors, journalists and all forms of the literary world, we are opening their minds and bringing hope where there was doubt.
Scribblers’ Retreat is not the typical classroom setting. It was designed to bring world-class authors, literature professors, editors, journalists, illustrators, photo journalists, proofreaders, publishers, publicists, screenplay writers, and website/graphic designers, etc. one-on-one with young and old alike. It is the opportunity of a lifetime for someone who has had a manuscript in a desk drawer for 40 years or who has an outstanding poem that simply must be read.
