Scribblers’ Retreat is a non-profit organization established with the goal of reaching writers of all ages; to inspire and promote their hidden gifts and talents.
By involving the local community, authors, publishers, editors, journalists and all forms of the literary world, we are opening their minds and bringing hope where there was doubt.
Scribblers’ Retreat is not the typical classroom setting. It was designed to bring world-class authors, literature professors, editors, journalists, illustrators, photo journalists, proofreaders, publishers, publicists, screenplay writers, and website/graphic designers, etc. one-on-one with young and old alike. It is the opportunity of a lifetime for someone who has had a manuscript in a desk drawer for 40 years or who has an outstanding poem that simply must be read.

Hello Christina,

It was very nice hearing from you and it is interesting to hear about your family.

It is very hot in Arizona right now and we have had consecutive day of extremly hot weather. I bet your days are a lot nicer and cooler than ours.

One of our news programs recently did a story about the happiest nation in the world...and it was Denmark! They said it was because of an easier going life and that the Danes didn't have high expectations for their lives. Not to say they were not ambitious, but rather more low key about their ambitions. Plus they work about 38 hrs. a week and take 6 weeks of vacation. That would be wonderful for most Americans, who rarely get more than a weeks vacation a year.

It is nice to visit with you by email...I hope you are having a great week, and perhaps I'll hear from you soon.

Big hug!!

Donna

Hi Christina,

I see that you are from Odense, Denmark and I had to stop by and say hello. My great grandparents were from Denmark, my maiden name was Andersen. I think my great grandmother was from Horsens, and her name was Helena Olesen. My great grandfather was Marius Andersen and my grandfather was Volney Andersen.

Anyway I just thought it would be fun to meet someone from Denmark. Keep up with your writing, anything you do is always a helpful step in your growth as an author.

Take care!

Donna

WHITE WOLF

LATE AT NIGHT THE WHITE WOLF HOWLS
A SADDENED CRY BUT NEVER GROWLS
TO PIERCE THE DARKNESS AND SHINE NEW LIGHT
TO THOSE WHO HUNGER FOR NEW LIFE
HE IS THE MYTH, THE HOLY GRAIL
FOR THOSE WHO KNOW THE MOUNTAIN TRAIL
HE STANDS ALONE WITHOUT A MATE
HE IS THE PROMISE BUT NOT THE FATE
WHITE AS THE MOUNTAINS LAYED WITH SNOW
WHERE WHITE WOLF HOWLS NEW LIFE WILL GROW.
