About Me and My Book:
I'm a writer from Southeast Missouri. At forty-seven years old in life I guess I started my writing career a little late. But, like they say better late than never! In 2005 my first novella, a supernatural thriller, was published "Behind the red Door.' ISBN# 1413788386 In 2006 'Thorns of an Innocent Soul' ISBN# 1424107849 was released, a psychological thriller. I love writing articles for several online journals and I'm currently working on my first full length novel.

Ahhhh, I love this time of year! Trimming the Christmas tree, hanging lights and the smell of pies cooking in my mothers kitchen brings back many fond memories. My mother would go through many boxes of ornaments that she'd saved over the years reminiscing over all of them. She would strategically place all of hers in just the perfect spot. Our tree resembled the one that sat in the Macy's window display other than, it didn't have our trees special touch including, but not limited to popcorn s

Our Holiday Halloween

Our Halloween trick-or-treat customs actually descended from a belief that the family dead would bring gifts or so called goodies to the children upon their temporary return from the other side. If you stop to think about that, it makes quite a bit of sense. Gifts, food and sweets are still a standard method today when it comes to attracting our children to other holidays such as, Christmas and Easter.

Our celebration of Halloween rituals are relics of the pagan, or what was known as A

Skyline Magazine Accepts My Short Story for Print Publication

Skyline Magazine accepted one of my short stories for their print magazine due out this Winter. I can't tell everyone how excited I was to receive the news! I submitted my work a few months ago and had almost given up hope on hearing from anyone. So for everyone else out there waiting to hear back from an editor, publisher, agent, or magazine about your work don't give up hope. Keep submitting and Keep the faith!

Scribblers’ Retreat is a non-profit organization established with the goal of reaching writers of all ages; to inspire and promote their hidden gifts and talents.
By involving the local community, authors, publishers, editors, journalists and all forms of the literary world, we are opening their minds and bringing hope where there was doubt.
Scribblers’ Retreat is not the typical classroom setting. It was designed to bring world-class authors, literature professors, editors, journalists, illustrators, photo journalists, proofreaders, publishers, publicists, screenplay writers, and website/graphic designers, etc. one-on-one with young and old alike. It is the opportunity of a lifetime for someone who has had a manuscript in a desk drawer for 40 years or who has an outstanding poem that simply must be read.

Thanks Barbara for your encouragement on my blog post,

I am lucky to already have a ph I work for, but I would like to broaden my horizons a bit... keep my craft fresh & growing.

The ph/author that chose the other submission has assured me I will get ork with them soon.

Regardless, if I happen to find an author who likes my work, I can submit the work to them since I already have an in with them.

Kinda go about it backwards...lol.
