About Me and My Book:
"The Seeds of Love...and War: Still Shaggin' for a Shillin'" is based on the fact that John Hancock had a tawdry affair with a waterfront tavern owner in 1769 Boston. It is the sequel to "Snug Harbor Tavern: Shaggin' for a Shillin'". As an author, I have a passion for historical fiction. Eight years in naval aviation, combined with a business of conducting seminars, have taught me that an audience needs a fleshed-out story to learn a lesson. Currently I am working on the third volume in this trilogy titled, "Tea, Tyranny & Revolution: Shaggin' for a Musket"

Historical Fiction: Appearance Means Everything

I find it useful to appear in period costume for my presentations at seminars and book signings. It is one of the joys of writing historical fiction. The important idea is to remain in character...at all times.

I have been invited to appear on local television, a second time, to present as John Hancock, the sequel to my first novel.

Historical Fiction Authors and Publishers Group

We have organized a new Historical Fiction Authors and Publishers Group and encourage anyone involved in this genre to join. When it comes to publicity, it seems that someone is looking for a message or needful information, which is a natural for non-fiction writers. Talk radio is always seeking an "expert".
However, historical fiction provides a portal for a reader to visit another time and place. This could be for pure entertainment value, but it might also provide interesting comparisons. For… Continue

Historical Fiction Group

I have taken the liberty to organize a new "group", dedicated to the historical fiction genre. Each category of writing has particular issues and difficulties and this is no different. Anyone involved in historical fiction, regardless of time or era, is invited to add to the fun, as we wander into the past and deal with the present.

Are you on Facebook and LinkedIn?

I would like to connect with you there also. I am trying to make more friends and fans so that I can spread awareness for breast cancer during pregnancy. I was diagnosed Stage 3 in the 5th month of my pregnancy in May. My status updates on Facebook and LinkedIn are usually about my fight.

Thank you, William. I do have an editor and have started the process of it all. I'm hopeful to get the developmental back next week and then once I make the necessary changes go to grammer check, etc. with her. If anything changes I will let you know.

I hope your self-pub is going well and that it's been beneficial. I know it's a lot of work.

I'm going to send a fellow Ohioan a friend request!

Thanks again,
Kim
