Helena:
Unwavering Courage
Can you imagine a woman burying her husband in the morning and then giving birth to his last child in the afternoon? On the morning of July 18, 1913, the village folk of Loring, Ontario, Canada, wake to the news that James Matthews, owner of the first auto wagon in the area, is thrown from his vehicle and dies with a crushed skull. Two days later, Helena, his wife, goes into premature labor and watches from her bedroom window as members of the Masonic Lodge along with friends and family escort his body to the cemetery.
No longer able to lean on her husband for support, Helena turns to two factors in her life she can count on—the love of her children and her faith. Together, they help her face a new and uncertain future.
Unaware of how her courage, humor, and determination impact her family, Helena’s life is a testimony to succeeding generations.
Summer Guest:Amy Lawrence, a twenty-four year-old Canadian, is determined to fight a summer of adversity. Due to rising gasoline prices and a downturn in the economy, their family fishing lodge is in financial difficulty and her father may lose it. Her neurotic mother cannot handle this pressure and is in the hospital. To add to her burden, Amy is struggling to get over a broken engagement.
An unexpected American veteran, med-evac helicopter pilot, wounded physically and emotionally, arrives at the lodge to seek privacy in the serene Canadian northland. The last thing on his mind is to fall in love with the owner’s daughter but as he observes the daily strength of character she exhibits in her determination to save the lodge, his hardened heart softens. He sees a woman who loves her family, is willing to take on more than her share of responsibility and refuses to give up. Matt realizes he wants to be more than a passing summer guest but a permanent part of Amy’s future.

I write romance, too, under the penname, Rose Renee Shelly. I have three novels under that name, one of which won an in-house publishing prize for top Regency. As for Novelspot, I do book reviews there. It's one of the better places, since they have stringent editing procedures and always link to the author's buy site. The link is:

I like the storyline of Summer Guest. I'll have to check out that book. Is it available on Amazon.com, by any chance?
