- "Motherless Soul" is about Emily, an eighty-two year old woman who wants to find out more about her mother. Her mother died when Emily was two. She contacts a hypnotist hoping he can draw out hidden memories from the brief time when they were both alive. In the process Emily learns she has lived many past lives and has lost her mother at a young age in every one of them. Her lives are caught in a repeating pattern. She needs to break that pattern by finding the woman who will be her mother in the next life and preventing her death from occurring in the future.
