Dirty Little Angels by Chris Tusa Review

I was recently contacted by Chris Tusa, the author of Dirty Little Angels and Haunted Bones, asking me to read his newest novel (Dirty Little Angels) and review it. You never know what you’re going to get when this happens but I took on the task all the same - I love to read and a free book was just the escape I needed.

Before receiving the ebook version of Dirty Little Angels I decided to do a little background work and discovered many fantastic reviews already written for his book. One even c… Continue

Despite Ignorant Emails Chapters Does List My Books

After publicizing the resistance I received from Chapters I thought it only right for me to share with you all the my books are now available through www.Chapters.Indigo.ca. I don't know why the change of heart, or even if their was one, but I do know that my book has finally been made available by Chapters.

Thank you for all of your support, continued following and to those who questioned this act with me.

Chapters Not Supporting Canadian Authors

After many months of sending numerous unanswered emails I finally received the rude, abrupt and, at first, devastating news. Chapters/ Indigo, although now dealing as a vendor for my printer, refuses to actually make any books available that are printed by them. With many spelling and grammar errors, the only person to contact me back explained how ridiculous any author was to think that they would sell books not printed in Canada, simply because they convinced themselves they would lose money i… Continue

Sending You Sammy Soon to Be Available Through Chapters!

It's been a struggle to get my books listed in the largest Canadian book retailer but it's soon to be over! I recently received word that my printer met all the qualifications for us and just in time, too. I just submitted a collection of short stories for publication.

My new book will be titled Brain Tales Volume One - meaning there will be more! I can't wait. I have so much to share with my readers of all ages and it just got easier.

Stay tuned for more information.

Healthy Eating that Kids Respond To

Children finally want to read and eat healthy and it is all thanks to a recently published book titled Sending You Sammy. The first installment of a series intended to decrease the rate of obesity and increase the rate of literacy, Sending You Sammy is in book stores now.

With literacy on the decline and obesity on the incline good books with great values are what the world needs. Inspiring, habit changing, and an altogether educational read without boring or lecturing the reader, Sammy… Continue

I am sending this out to BMN members who specialize in any aspect of children's book publishing, whether your an author, artist, publisher, or offer some other valued skill needed in the creation of children's books.

I invite you to follow my blogs and comment, critique, and network with me as friends (so I can follow your work too).

I have found ning in general to be the best marketing and reference tool compared to any advertising, networking, or leads I have ever used -- free or paid for. And all it's costs is our time.

Many of you are already in my friend network, and thank you for sharing your work with me. For those of you reading, this that I have not introduced myself too, I would like to now, and ask we be friends so I can follow your craft as well.

We all need to support each others work through this economic distress, no stimulus or bail out is going to help us.

In my latest blog post, you will also see three other ning networks that I have created. One for children's book professionals/enthusiasts, one for southern/Tennessee writers, artists, etc., and one for WillowRaven clients (present, past, or future) or simply just fans of my work. I invite you to join the appropriate ones for you as well.

By involving the local community, authors, publishers, editors, journalists and all forms of the literary world, we are opening their minds and bringing hope where there was doubt.
Scribblers’ Retreat is not the typical classroom setting. It was designed to bring world-class authors, literature professors, editors, journalists, illustrators, photo journalists, proofreaders, publishers, publicists, screenplay writers, and website/graphic designers, etc. one-on-one with young and old alike. It is the opportunity of a lifetime for someone who has had a manuscript in a desk drawer for 40 years or who has an outstanding poem that simply must be read.
