I was a foster child for over 12 years of my childhood. I came from a a place called Tin Can Holler, which was the poor side of town in Athens, TN where my father murdered my mother in 1959 when I was 7 years old. I returned to my hometown after 48 years and reaseached my family to find out the truth about my mother's murder. I uncovered deep dark secrets that had been buried for decades; child abuse, murders, incest, and lies. My grandmother on my father's side of the family was a serial killer, but was only charged with mail fraud, because no evidence could be found. I know where the bodies are and I've revealed their location in my book! My real grandfather, who had a secret affair with my grandmother and fathered two children was a very wealthy man, but would not admit he was our grandfather. He did not want his public image blimished. He lived a life of luxury as his grandchildren were sent to foster homes and separated. Today I am an advocate speaker against domestic violence, a spokesperson for CASA and the Holston United Methodist Home for Children in Greeneville, TN. I want to help people who are living in domestic violence. My book is an outlet to warn others about the dangers of domestic violence and the aftermath of what happens to the children. I am a survivor.
I would like to connect with you there also. I am trying to make more friends and fans so that I can spread awareness for breast cancer during pregnancy. I was diagnosed Stage 3 in the 5th month of my pregnancy in May. My status updates on Facebook and LinkedIn are usually about my fight.

Scribblers’ Retreat is a non-profit organization established with the goal of reaching writers of all ages; to inspire and promote their hidden gifts and talents.
By involving the local community, authors, publishers, editors, journalists and all forms of the literary world, we are opening their minds and bringing hope where there was doubt.
Scribblers’ Retreat is not the typical classroom setting. It was designed to bring world-class authors, literature professors, editors, journalists, illustrators, photo journalists, proofreaders, publishers, publicists, screenplay writers, and website/graphic designers, etc. one-on-one with young and old alike. It is the opportunity of a lifetime for someone who has had a manuscript in a desk drawer for 40 years or who has an outstanding poem that simply must be read.
