I am a deaconess in the "Historic" African Orthodox Church of the Order of Saint Basil. I assist the priests during the Divine Liturgy, I take care of the sick, and those in need of prayer, food, comfort, and love. I also preach, serve communion to the laity, sick and shut in, and sing the gospel during the Liturgy. I am sensitive to peoples souls and I am always in prayer for the lost in Christ Jesus. My birth name is Andrea Dawn. My saint name is Domnika named after Saint Domnika the Righteous. She was a deaconess in Constantinople in the early lst through the 4th century. I am married to Father JohnLuke Ealey II, OSB. Our Primate is Metropolitan George Walter Sands OSB, of Miami Florida of the African Orthodox Church Inc. We have a tribe of children ranging from ages 24mos to 28 I Love God and His Church. Domnika of Alexandria lived in Alexandria in the late fourth century. In order to avoid a forced marriage she ran away from home. Patriarch Nektarios of Constantinople ordained her ‘to the priestly rank of the diaconate in Christ’. She set up a religious community of women and was involved in a ministry of teaching, prayer, and healing. Pilgrims from all over would visit her monastery to receive healing from all kinds of sickness and disease, but towards the end of her life she withdrew into a solitary life in the desert. Her life of Prayer, Healing of the sick, and Love for Jesus Christ is why I so admire her as well as all of our mothers before us.
