Hi Cindy, If you have a really good book that you believe in, you can sell it to independent book stores. They will nearly always mention consignment because it is a better deal for them. They are ac…

About Me and My Book:
Patricia Bennett Wilson (Author)

I was born in New Hampshire, raised in Connecticut and spent high school and first two college years in So. California. I attended U of O Dental School in Oregon and graduated as a dental hygienist in 1963. Dentistry has been a great field for me. I retired 1 ½ years ago. I loved my job, but developing my blind grandmother’s music and writing the children’s book “I Can’t See, But…I Can Imagine” has been my passion for 15 years.

My grandmother, Persis Beach Bennett, was blind and lived in New Hampshire. She was a talented songwriter. Her songs (15 in all) were recorded on 78rpm records in 1949. As a child, I was captivated by the songs my grandmother wrote. When Persis passed away in 1954, I began worrying, “What will become of Grammie’s music?” In 1994, I retrieved the records from a basement in New Hampshire. They were terribly scratched and nearly impossible to understand. With God’s help and the assistance of many talented people in Central Oregon, all the music is updated and reproduced. I have always loved to write and decided to write a book including Grandmother's five wonderful children's songs including the songs and story on an accompanying CD. I am delighted to share some of Grammie’s music and stories with other people, especially children. My book title is, “I Can’t See, But…I Can Imagine”.

WHAT IF...A Children's book...CAN DO THIS!

My book “I Can’t See, But…I Can Imagine” arrived on the scene in December 2003. Although I have always loved to write, I never once dreamed I would actually author a book. In 1994 I began producing my blind grandmother’s wonderful music. Five are for children…..delightful! At the time I belonged to the local songwriter’s association. When the children’s songs were completed everyone loved them….especially children. I kept hearing things like, “Wow! They are awesome, but there is no market for ch… Continue

Professionally? I started the tale end of 2007. But as far as how long I have done illustration in general, since '94. That is when I decided to take fine art, animation & design in college.
