About Me and My Book:
Meet the Author....Michelle C. Taylor

Michelle C. Taylor is a native of Stony Creek, Virginia. She began writing short stories and poems at an early age and as the years grew so did her passion for writing.

Although this is her first national published novel, she is no stranger to the literary market. Michelle has been writing for over fifteen years and has self published two books. Mental Incarceration, “It’s All in Your Mind”, was her first published work and was released in February 1998. The book sold over 600 copies the first week locally. With her passion for writing, she also developed a passion for speaking and in March 1998 in Atlanta, Georgia she launched “Innovation Seminar Services” a company that gave her a platform as a motivational speaker. She then went on to publish her second self-publish book a religious/inspirational handbook entitle “Jesus Lives” in May 2005. It has quickly become a favorite in the Christian community.

Michelle work has appeared in Imani magazine in Atlanta, Georgia. She is also a former host of a weekly gospel radio show on WFTH 1590 in Richmond. Her latest work is her first Christian novel entitled “Trouble Won’t Last Always” which was released in March 2008 under Urban Books/Kensington Publishing.

Beyond her literary endeavors, she is a born-again believer in Christ Jesus and has a great love for the Lord. Michelle was licensed into the ministry in November of 2004 and whenever she’s not spreading the Lord's word in the pulpit, she's using her pen and pad to reach the souls on the outside of her pulpit.

Michelle currently resides in Richmond, VA with her husband, and their three children. She is the daughter of Revered Joe H. Caple and Gracie Caple. She is a graduate of Kee Business College with a Degree in Business Computer Administration. She is currently pursuing her Masters in Theology at the Samuel Dewitt School of Theology at Virginia Union University in Richmond, VA.

In her spare time Michelle enjoys spending time with her family, reading and praise dancing.

Scribblers’ Retreat is a non-profit organization established with the goal of reaching writers of all ages; to inspire and promote their hidden gifts and talents.
By involving the local community, authors, publishers, editors, journalists and all forms of the literary world, we are opening their minds and bringing hope where there was doubt.
Scribblers’ Retreat is not the typical classroom setting. It was designed to bring world-class authors, literature professors, editors, journalists, illustrators, photo journalists, proofreaders, publishers, publicists, screenplay writers, and website/graphic designers, etc. one-on-one with young and old alike. It is the opportunity of a lifetime for someone who has had a manuscript in a desk drawer for 40 years or who has an outstanding poem that simply must be read.
