About Me and My Book:
Hi, I am an author and mom to one very energetic horse and two slightly demonic, yet cute, cats. My first book Midnight Reflections is now up at Amazon.com. It is a mystery thriller involving vampires, werewolves, warlocks and a serial killer. Basically, the story starts with an young woman struggling to deal with being turned into a vampires. Shortly after she begins adapting to her new unlife, a friend of hers is killed and she becomes involved in the investigation into finding the killer. In a world where vampires and werewolves are common and accepted, sometimes it is hard to find the actual monsters. The sequel to Midnight Reflections, Dead Awakening, is in production.

My first book, Midnight Reflections

In my recently released supernatural thriller Midnight Reflections, we are introduced to a society where vampires, werewolves, warlocks, and witches freely roam amongst the ordinary humans. One such human, Tara Daston, only wanted a fun night out dancing with her boyfriend. Getting killed was certainly the last thing she ever expected and waking up three days later as a vampire was the last thing she ever wanted. As Tara struggles with her death and new unlife, she also becomes involved in a hunt for a vicious serial killer. During her own investigation into the killings, she meets Tom Duncan, fellow vampire and lead agent of the Preternatural Investigation Agency, who is not at all amused at what he considers to be her interference. However, the serial killer soon takes notice of Tara and is intrigued, forcing her to work together with Tom and the rest of the agency to stop the murders.

Midnight Reflections is available from www.Amazon.com, www.BarnesandNoble.com, and www.bookdepository.co.uk.

First part of Midnight Reflections

Here is the first part of my book, Midnight Reflections

Chapter One
Lyle Brooks liked jogging late at night when everyone else was home watching TV or getting ready for bed. It was so much quieter than during the day and he found it peaceful. Tonight, the only sound to break the silence was the rhythmic noise of his feet pounding on the stone path. The air seemed fresher, crisper in the darkness, and it always relaxed him. Even after the most stressful of days, jogging still managed to clear hi… Continue

Are you on Facebook and LinkedIn?

I would like to connect with you there also. I am trying to make more friends and fans so that I can spread awareness for breast cancer during pregnancy. I was diagnosed Stage 3 in the 5th month of my pregnancy in May. My status updates on Facebook and LinkedIn are usually about my fight.

Have you tried using excerpts of your books as articles, or blog posts or offering to be a guest blogger on other blogs and using excerpts from your book? Also, writing articles (or using excerpts) about vampires to send to your local newspapers would be very timely.

Hi Katrina,
Yes marketing isn't really my cup of tea. I'd much rather be writing but unfortunately marketing is part of the process. I'm not very good at it but you have to persevere you know. I just sent you a friend invite.

Katrina, Congratulations on "Midnight Reflections." It sounds like a book I would enjoy reading. I visited the website you listed but could find no mention of your book on the site. If Stonegarden is your publisher, they should list your book on their site. You can sign up for a free website for your book at Webs.com.
