- As a retired teacher with a background in physical education and early childhood education, Kathy Stemke has published several ariticles that encourage movement activities in phonics and math curriculums. She has a blog and monthly newsletter which offer movement activities, book reviews, and parenting tips that help parents and teachers teach children phonics, math, writing and science!
"MOVING THROUGH ALL SEVEN DAYS" by Kathy Ann Stemke is finally available for purchase on Lulu for just $3.00! This book inspires movement as children learn about the days of the week. The lyrical rhymes also teach them how to spell each day! The activities at the end of the book are designed to reinforce the concepts as well as give impetus to movement exploration.
Kathy has another book close to publication titled, "Trouble on Earth Day." It's a charming story of a squirrel who helps a bird find a new home. This book has several activity pages as well.
