About Me and My Book:
Well I'm a writer, lawyer, and teacher living in Westchester County, New York. My second novel, "A Monk Jumped Over a Wall", was recently published in November 2007. My first novel, "Blue Road to Atlantis" is also available.

Besides my writing, I'm a real estate lawyer and karate black belt. I like to stay busy. I also taught Eastern Philosophy and martial arts at Cornell University.

Are you on Facebook and LinkedIn?

I would like to connect with you there also. I am trying to make more friends and fans so that I can spread awareness for breast cancer during pregnancy. I was diagnosed Stage 3 in the 5th month of my pregnancy in May. My status updates on Facebook and LinkedIn are usually about my fight.

Scribblers’ Retreat is a non-profit organization established with the goal of reaching writers of all ages; to inspire and promote their hidden gifts and talents.
By involving the local community, authors, publishers, editors, journalists and all forms of the literary world, we are opening their minds and bringing hope where there was doubt.
Scribblers’ Retreat is not the typical classroom setting. It was designed to bring world-class authors, literature professors, editors, journalists, illustrators, photo journalists, proofreaders, publishers, publicists, screenplay writers, and website/graphic designers, etc. one-on-one with young and old alike. It is the opportunity of a lifetime for someone who has had a manuscript in a desk drawer for 40 years or who has an outstanding poem that simply must be read.

Thank you for inviting me, Jay. It appears you already are my friend, though I'm not quite sure how it happened. Apparently this network is faster than cyberspace. At any rate, glad you're here! It's always nice to have a fellow novelist as a pal.

Best,
Carolyn Howard-Johnson
