About Me and My Book:
I am the mother of a magazine called Midwifery Today. We have been publishing the magazine for 20 years. We also do birth conferences all over the world. Tiny publishers have to be creative to stay alive. We have just begun book publishing for outside authors. We have been publishing books from our own materials for many years. I am interested in low cost ways to market our books. John Kremer's 1001 ways is a great start.

Scribblers’ Retreat is a non-profit organization established with the goal of reaching writers of all ages; to inspire and promote their hidden gifts and talents.
By involving the local community, authors, publishers, editors, journalists and all forms of the literary world, we are opening their minds and bringing hope where there was doubt.
Scribblers’ Retreat is not the typical classroom setting. It was designed to bring world-class authors, literature professors, editors, journalists, illustrators, photo journalists, proofreaders, publishers, publicists, screenplay writers, and website/graphic designers, etc. one-on-one with young and old alike. It is the opportunity of a lifetime for someone who has had a manuscript in a desk drawer for 40 years or who has an outstanding poem that simply must be read.

Our first book is called, "Placenta, The Gift of LIfe." it is a book about placenta lore around the world and using the placenta as medicine. I realize most of the world does not think about placentas but it is a beautiful organ that nourishes the baby. Every human in the world had one!

Our next book is, "Survivor Moms: Women's Stories of Birthing, Mothering and Healing after Sexual Abuse." We are also doing a four day conference on this important issue. It unfortunately affects one out of three or four women and one out of five or six men.
